Lots of Ground Squirrels at Sherwood Park digging up a million holes everywhere you look. I'm feeding them bread and peanuts in the pictures. The Park has a restroom with privacy doors that's in good condition (the dorks who work for the Park close the bathroom a little after 6pm) The homeless are here but no tent city like before in previous posts from years ago. They have a playground and at the other end is Tatum's Garden another playground. If your nose is sensitive don't come here the Squirrel holes reek from the Squirrels(God Bless them though)living in their filth(bathroom mess)Also connected is a HUGE heated indoor swimming pool that costs money to use) When the next door neighbor the very popular Salinas Rodeo is hosting a huge event in it's stadium most of the parking lots for the park are then reserved for the Rodeo this also sometimes causes Tatum's Garden to close for some of those days unfortunately (I wish that they found a way to keep it open because there is still a little bit of parking that is not taken near the indoor pool at that time)There is also 6 tennis courts I took pictures of 5 signs around the tennis courts. The sign says no dogs although I don't see anyone around here who would care to enforce that (no Park Rangers at this Park)
We absolutely love this play yard, park area food our 3 year old daughter. It is completely fenced in, has injury free flooring and the bathrooms are well kept. Networking with the other parents was and is awesome to do! To let your child make friends and enjoy the ample space to roam is great for the kids. We usually take snacks and water for the kids. It's never a dull moment when here, laughter and smiles are in abundance!
Sherwood is the most amazing kids park I've seen for free. It is accessible for kids of all abilities and it was built with care and love. When you visit, you can't help but notice how many people donated to bring this project to life. Wow!
ABBEY PARK is a specially designed park for children in wheelchairs and with other handicaps. And it has got to be thee most well designed super functional little big park Ive ever seen! Im a designer myself so i know a good design! i really checked the park out and I'll tell you I was blown away! DO NOT let other reviews sway you away from the most creative mind simulating park to take your little ones to! unless its another park like this! DO NOT hesitate for one second, your little ones brains are going to be a buzz with so much to see and do! I went with my son and his two "my" babies ny Grandbabies around 2pm midday i found it to be safer then any other park ive been to and cleaner than any other park ive ever been to! So? What are you waiting for?
This is a nice recreation park for adults and also for kids.. in the back there is really nice set of old fashion games that kids can and will enjoy. It also have restrooms which are not spotless but aren't too dirty neither having in mind the tons of kids and parents that use them. It also has a good size parking lot, has fire grill and tables for pick nick. Going back to the old fashion games, i wanna say they are in god shape but a bit dirty lol.. they can either have candy, ice cream, or juice spots lol, and parents will have to wipe them up before their kids use them, buy I guess that is normal. After all, its a kids play grounds.
We love going to the aquarium. Especially on a weekday afternoon when the crowds are fewer. There are many interesting exhibits and the atmosphere can make you feel like you are part of the ocean. I love the open ocean exhibit and the jelly fish!
Pretty dirty now. Lots of homeless. I wouldn't even dare use the restrooms there. I do like the grass area near the yellow hats. Lots to do there! Tennis, BBQ, Tatum Garden, etc.
We actually attended the pool area. I have some concerns regarding the pool water condition . There was algae visible on the pool bottom , and on the ceiling of the arena..my wife asked the pool attendants when they last cleaned it or had it serviced . The response was ," it's been a.while , I don't know". So I just feel there needs to be my more oversight on operations . The city needs to look into this immediately .
Scenic and spacious public park that is hugely popular for parties, events, or just BBQing with family and friends. There are a handful of full service picnic shelters with counters, sinks, and BBQ pits for cooking over a wood fire...these must be re

McKinnon Park in Salinas is a hidden gem! ð³ð The park's natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere are perfect for a relaxing day out. What makes it even more special is the free small library where you can pick up a book to read â it adds a char
We started here as part of a three winery tour on a Saturday. We were the only people there early in the day, and we had a long visit with the winemaker. The setting is perfection! We loved the wines. We would definitely recommend, and we will defini
