Sherman Inn - Motel in Sherman - 1831 Texoma Pkwy, USA

Stayed here for close to 6 months, mostly being in room 144. All staff members we're very friendly and attentive to my needs. I can say however ownership underappreciates their worth. Overworked and underpaid they try their hardest to keep this property safe and clean. Special thanks to Kevin and Denise who are the glue that keeps this property together.

EXTREMELY nice, GREAT people running this hotel that took great care in making sure things were perfect. They truly care about people, even the gentleman Kevin in Maintenance offered his assistance should anything come up. Free coffee in the office @ 7AM make by the nice ladies running the front office. Do not waste your time. I checked in and immediately checked back out after seeing the room. Door frame was cracked like it had been kicked in multiple times. Dead bugs in the microwave. TV did not work which was the least of my worries. I felt so unsafe. Spend the extra $50 and go to best Western plus in Denison. So much cleaner and secure plus jacuzzi tub in the room.

Spend the extra money and get something cleaner and safer than this disgusting motel! When we arrived at Sherman Inn, there were cops arresting someone inside of one of the motel rooms. This did not make me feel confident that it was a safe motel and would have left, but I had already paid for the room in advance. It was non refundable so I checked in against my better judgement. While walking to our room, we noticed a really strong and disgusting pot smoke odor coming out of a room a few doors down from ours. As for our room, I paid for a non-smoking room, but it clearly was a smoking room because of the strong smoke odor, ashtray on the nightstand, and cigarette burn holes in the comforter. The smoke detector was falling down, clothes rack was rusty, vanity light was missing a bulb, paint from wall was on the ceiling, rubber baseboard casing under sink area was falling off, cheap laminate floor was uneven with huge gaps, towels were stained, and there was only one washcloth. To add insult to injury, there was a plastic cup on the sink that read "Housekeeping Tips Thank You" Are you serious? It appeared that a lot of the guests were staying at the motel long term and very sketchy looking. (Drug Addicts, etc) A bunch of kids ranging from 3-14 years old also kept roaming the parking lot until midnight. Luckily, our vehicles were not vandalized. This was by far the worst experience I have had staying at a motel/hotel in quite a while.

Positive: Girl at front desk was nice Negative: This hotel was horrible, do not book here. Very poorly maintained, extremely dim lighting, dirty, stepped on the flooring in bathroom and water and sewage came up through the floor. Also watched a drug deal happen right outside the room. Unsafe!

Positive: The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and wall heating/cooling unit. Everything worked. No issues with hot water. Negative: The furniture items were rather worn and outdated. The sitting chair arm fabric was torn and worn off past the stuffing. The room would have looked better without it. Still as long as you aren¿t too picky, it meets the needs of showering and sleeping. Negative: ""

Positive: nothing Negative: It is basically a hotel for long term stays by drug users. Everything in the room was damaged. I stayed only two hours. During that time my door was pounded upon three times by other guests trying to come into my room.

ROACHES!!!|"you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig"...$40 is not worth the anxiety and health concerns due to staying here! I tried to get a refund for the 2nd night I booked but the manager would not approve the refund because I didn't notify them by the checkout time. Regardless, I packed my bags and left!
