Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Petaluma - Hotel in Petaluma - 745 Baywood Dr, USA

We just spent 4 days at the hotel. The staff was so warm and professional. The housekeeping was exceptional. The service and the food at the Tolay was wonderful. The hotel was always clean and the swimming pool was a plus. I really enjoy this hotel . I have stayed here a few times and will continue to book. Great proximity to downtown Petaluma and the wine country.

DO NOT STAY HERE! My Husband and I planned a weekend away and booked here. When we arrived we checked in and they told me they upgraded us because we are reward members. We got to our room key and went to our room. When we got to the room, it was not ready. Dirty bed, dirty dishes in the sink, trash not taken out, ect. We called the front desk but know one answered so we grabbed our stuff and went to the front desk. When we told them, all they said was "that's strange, I'll have house keeping go check". After they confirmed they said it would be an hour before its ready. We decided to get food at the restaurant and started noticing how incredibly dirty the hotel was. We actually looked to stay somewhere else but everything was booked. We decided to stay and they let us know our room was ready. We went to our room and decided to go downtown. When we came back for the night at 11pm, we got to our room and I used the bathroom, our toilet did not flush. I called the front desk and they said there is nothing they can. We can either pack our bags or deal with it. We decided to just go to bed. We got up first thing and decided to leave a day early. I went downstairs to use the restroom and get us coffee and when I came back I had an email from them with my invoice attached. They charged me an extra $116.00 for the upgrade! I was livid. We went to the front desk to complain and they said I authorized it. Again I am a rewards member with free upgrades! Why would I pay for one? We told them our frustration and the front desk gave me my invoice and their mangers card and said to call and speak with her, there's nothing they can do. I have been waiting for a week for this manager to call me back and she still hasn't. This hotel needs better trained staff, a new manager and a huge remodel. It is not worth the price. On top of everything else, the TV did not work in our room. It wasn't a huge deal to me because we were gone most the time but it's still just another annoyance this hotel has to offer. I stay with Marriott at least twice a month if not more. I have reached out to Marriott customer service last week after our stay. I called them today to see if there is any resolution. They told me the manager closed the case without discussing with them or me. This manager clearly is the problem. I will continue to use Marriott because this really has been my only bad experience with them. Please don't waste your money here. There's a brand new courtyard marriott down the street, I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.

What a letdown. We stayed at the Sheraton for work and vacation and we were generally disappointed, from a $15 per night parking fee for the privilege of leaving your car in a vast open and empty lot, to the restaurant which is closed for lunch and not even open most night for dinner. The hotel is large and clean and rooms adequate, but if you want lunch, dinner most of the evening, or a snack, settle for a bag of potato chips from the self-serve shelves. Even the bar closes most nights at 9 p.m. or when the last guest leaves. There’s not even a restaurant, bar or deli you can reach by foot. This hotel is not worthy of the brand.

Our stay was so wonderful! The hotel and rooms are beautiful and clean. The beds are SO comfortable!!! Perfect after a long day of wine tasting. The staff were very accommodating of our needs and anything that came up to make sure we had a great stay. Definitely recommend!

A quick shout out for Heather at the front desk. Thanks for your help it was appreciated. Had a late dinner in the restaurant. Our group had burgers and the Cuban sandwich with fries. Foo d tasted great and our server Julio was fun, attentive. I ansked our server to have the bartender surprise me with one of his best drinks. Danny (bartender) made me a fantastic cosmo. One of the best. Thanks! The rooms could use some renovations, but our room was clean and worked fine for us.

The room had white dog hair all over the carpet. The carpet was also stained. We asked for a different room and they “upgraded” our room to one next to ice machine. The drapes were hanging off of one end of the curtain rod and the carpet was also heavily stained. . At 9:30 pm while we were sleeping, I heard a knocking. I awoke to someone trying to get into our room but couldn’t due to placement of block across the door. I immediately went to door and asked who was trying to get into our room. He replied, “maintenance “. I told him I had not called maintenance and he apologized. I called front desk to report it and expressed my anger over the situation. They were not very apologetic and said they would look into it. The next morning, we made an inquiry at front desk about it and were told that they knew nothing about it but would look into it. We will not be staying here again!! The rooms need carpet replacement and painting/cleaning!

Everything was nice enough, but was shocked by the price, probably the most expensive Sheraton I’ve ever stayed at (and I’ll put out for context, I’ve spent >350 lifetime nights at various Marriott properties for work& vacation). Not bad, just not worth $400 /night

So far everything on I wanted on the website has been discontinued. The TV menu reads room service AM. I called to order breakfast before meeting. It has been disconnected Second, on the website, FREE breakfast , NO free breakfast. Front desk is inconsistent. Operator at front desk does not answer in timely manner. Evening room service closed before hours posted. NOTHING but bad information posted. Would Nerver pay this price again for this service.
