Sheraton Mountain Vista Villas, Avon / Vail Valley - Hotel in Avon - 160 W Beaver Creek Blvd, USA

Although the rooms here are very nice, the staff is very friendly, and it’s in a great location for many activities, we definitely won’t be staying here again during the summer as the villas do not have any air conditioning. We only realized this after getting to our room at 10PM, and it was 80 degrees in the room (it had been 96 during the day in Avon). The hotel description on the Marriott app does mention this, I realized later, but it’s not something I ever thought to check. I assumed all Marriott hotels in the US were climate controlled. The sign by the room thermostat said that the hotel utilizes “natural air conditioning”, and it gave a list of ways to keep the room cool. Unfortunately, the room was way too hot for us to be able to sleep comfortably, so we checked out and went to another property. If we come back in the winter, however, we would certainly stay here.

Great location and great amenities. We only wish we had known there is no AC in the rooms. As a result, you’ll have to leave window and screen door open and use fans. ||It works until the guest(s) below start grilling and the fumes come into the room. In the small villas, they probably should have put in a 2-burner cooktop for breakfast. ||Fans were okay, but almost went to Home Depot or Walmart and bought a portable AC since we drove…..🤔

Wonderful and compassionate staff. We needed to switch to a smaller one-room villa after spending a week in a larger villa (larger one was sold out). My husband had just undergone surgery, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. They allowed late checkout and got our new room ready so my husband has a place to rest instead of the usual 10 am checkout and 4 pm check-in. Thank you!! We are immensely grateful .

We had a total of four rooms and all were very clean! We had no trouble getting any services we needed. The entire staff was very friendly. The location is quiet and quaint and right between two bigger towns, but had a walmart nearby for convenience. The pool was heated perfectly and all of the hot tubs were great! We enjoyed the view from the roof top hot tub as well. The fitness center was nice and well kept. My kids spent a lot of time in the game room and were involved in hotel activities.

The rooms are cleans and are great for a longer term stay since they have a grill, dishwasher, laundry, etc. My biggest complaints are small things that re often overlooked— the outlets on one side of the bedroom wouldn’t work, the drain in the bathroom was clogged so there was standing water in every shower, and the laundry dryer in our room was malfunctioning & didn’t dry any clothes. These kinds of maintenance issues made the room feel overpriced for what we got. Not having air conditioning is also a huge issue, the fans provided are extremely loud & have to be running constantly to keep the room under 80 degrees, I would NOT rely on mountain breezes to stay cool in the summer here. Other than that, the location is nice & within walkable distance to a few good restaurants. The outdoor pool was nice. The fitness room was extremely well maintained & the game room was a nice addition. Good hotel but likely wouldn’t stay here again as the quality didn’t match the price.

Stayed for a night in one of their king suite and very happy that I choose the property for halt during my road trip. Big and clean rooms with in house kitchen facilities, bbq and laundry. Pool was heated and kids had a blast in pool and hot tub. Staffs are very very courteous.

Great place to stay. Loved the gym, saunas, and hot tubs. Game room was fun too. Love the close bus stop. Staff was friendly and helpful and great at communicating. Shout out to concierge guy who remembered my mom was staying with me and the person at the front desk who wore grey and had her hair back who answered a lot of my questions.

It is dated (think early 90s) but clean and well maintained. However, having no A/C in miserable. Even if the temp is only 75 with direct Colorado sun a room will heat up to 90. The windows in the bedroom only opened 1 inch so there was no. "cool mountain breeze" or "nature's A/C". Also in the Summer when you have open windows you have full sun at 5am. You'll also get to enjoy your neighbors smoking. I would stay here in the Winter but not May through September. I don't need to pay to feel like I'm camping. Anyone who tells you you don't need A/C in the Vail Valley in the Summer is delusional.
