We came for a summer stay and had a great experience in the lakeside terrace rooms. Lots of space and sleeping options. The kids enjoyed the indoor pools, the playground and the near by lake/beach attractions (paddle boards, kayaks etc). Great views of the mountains as well!

I really wanted to like this place but they did a terrible job advertising there was no AC - learned when we checked in. First they tried putting us in a room on the third floor of a building with a broken elevator. We were traveling with a toddler and baby so that was obviously not an option. Asked for a different room and they placed us in a second floor room above the “utility room” on the garage level. The floor was radiating heat in bedroom above that utility room. The room was 85° when we entered and after doing everything suggested (fans, windows, etc) for two days, that bedroom was nearly 90°. My son was running a fever and obviously couldn’t nap in there. They gave me the absolute run around when asking to end our reservation early. They told me I had to wait until the evening for the manager. Waited for the manager and she told me she had to speak to her manager… who was there earlier in the day but had left for the evening. Giving two stars because the setup could be nice in the winter. Good location near the park/lake.

Very long wait to get hotel room with the notebook in advance. Wasn’t checked in until around 4 PM. Many other people walked in and got their room so we were a bit confused about their process. My big concern about this hotel is how hot it is. I’ve been trying to sleep for hours and there’s no air conditioner in the entire hotel. They only offer fans. So you’re basically blowing around hot air the entire time. This is a great hotel to stay in the winter, but not so good in the summer months, my room is like an oven

We stayed at the Sheraton Lakeside Terrace in May. We were very impressed with it overall. The accommodations were impressive and very clean. We were especially pleased with how quiet the unit was. We were on the 2nd floor in a 3 floor building, and never heard any stomping, people talking or The kitchen appliances were good, but not the latest. They could be updated. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms were roomy. We loved the large master bathroom which had a roomy clothes closet, nice walk in shower and jetted tub, along with two separate sinks and great lighting. Loved the additional wet bar in the dining room. We had an underground garage as well. Also we appreciated that we were not pressured to go to a “sales presentation” while staying here. We LOVED the fact that they had a gas grill on the apartment patio, so that made it very convenient. The only critique I have is that the garage door opener didn't work, and they didn't have any extras. Also, in the kitchen, the dishwasher didn't close properly, and the way that stove and dishwasher were installed, were not ergonomically correct. The oven door was too close to the cabinets, and the oven light did not work. The dishwasher was in a place that made it difficult to load and unload. They could have been placed a little better.|We did not get a chance to use the pool and hot tub. They were outside and it was a little cool, so we can't make any comment on it. Overall, we were happy with the property, and would highly recommend it.

First of all be warned, this is not part of Sheraton Mountain Vista Villas. When I made the reservation for the 2 bedroom suite, I was told that the Sheraton Lakeside Terrace was right next door, insinuating that they are part of the same property. They are not, even though you check in at the Mountain Vista. Our location at Lakeside Terrace seemed like group of rooms that was once a condo complex that Sheraton slapped their logo on the outside of the building. ||Positives: They did a very nice job, the two bedroom suite looks EXACTLY like the photos on the Bonvoy website, and I was more than satisfied with the aesthetics. There were two bedrooms, and two pullout couches, I would pass to the privately owned Athletic club across the street. The Athletic club venture to guess it was 1500 square feet. We were not able to use the pool at the Mountain Vista Villas, but they more than made up to it be giving us a had a 2 big indoor pools with a great slide for kids, a jacuzzi, workout room etc. Much better than the small pool at the Mountain Vista Villas. The athletic club would be a dream during winter season.||Negatives: No a/c, and ventilation is really lacking in the suite. Upon check in, I think it was a bit deceptive when you are told that there is no a/c, but "the policy is to let the cool mountain air cool down the room." Well that would be fine and dandy if the hand crank windows opened more 4-6 inches. There is literally zero cross ventilation. The weather was in the mid to high 80's during out stay. An yes there are two box fans and two tower fans provided, but I seriously felt like I was staying in a tenement in the city with those fans going. Thankfully we were able to put a box fan in front of the sliding glass door, and it definitely helped. Basically, you have to choose to let the morning light wake you or the sheer stuffiness wake you up. The master bath was so stuffy, we had to put a fan in the bathroom to blow the stuffy air into the master bedroom, gross.||I don't think I would stay here during the summer again, there are better accommodations in the valley that have a/c. If you plan to visit during ski season, I would definitely stay here, it would be cozy, and the 2 bedroom suite has two gas fireplaces (one in living room, the other in the master bedroom) to make it even cozier. The dining room can accommodate up to 8 people, which make it great for a group. There is also a patio area with a patio table and 4 chairs, along with a nice bbq.||If this location fixed the a/c situation, it would be a great place to stay.||

Stayed here for 1 night with my 2 year old. Our room wasn't ready but the front desk was very sweet and said they would call as soon as it was since my toddler was ready for an overdue nap. An hour went by so I called back and was told our room was ready but I received no call. We get back to reception to get our keys and then drive to the building where our room is only to find the keys don't work and now we have a toddler who is exhausted and have to head all the way back to reception which is a drive away. After demanding someone bring us new keys ASAP, they sent someone. This was all frustrating but the real issue we had was our room was next to /above the utility room and the bedroom we had our daughter in was extremely hot. Like unsafe hot. The floor was hot to the touch and we noticed it in the kitchen as well. We had to move her as she was not safe in that room and it defeated the entire purpose of having a 2 bedroom suite. This was an example of a me prioritizing Marriot because I have elite status but after this experience I don't think I can justify it anymore. A true shame.

Loved, loved, loved this hotel. Extremely quiet, never heard anyone above us or next to us. Small washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen (e.g. blender, real coffee maker, nice and plentiful silverware), two very comfortable sofabeds with adequate bedding to make them up, free heated/indoor parking (a HUGE bonus when it's snowing), and close to everything. Lovely fireplaces, nice balcony, and a very large condo feel. A steal at 60,000 points redemption rate for Marriott Bonvoy points. Close to restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. Only minor downsides were only one guy to check people in, so line was slow, and there were a couple of hairs in the bathtub when we arrived, but very minor hiccups at an otherwise perfect property. Highly recommend.

Staying at the Sheraton Mountain Vista is no different than buying something disposable in America - it’s meant to fail you sooner rather than later.||||This lodging is, in part if not wholly, associated with timeshare use. I elected to stay a week in a 1 bedroom apartment-like suite. Although the kitchen is small, it is fully functional with standard size appliances. There is a 4-seat dining table off to the side with a stackable washer and dryer behind a closed door, adjacent to it.||||The living room is adequately sized and spaced, and has a sliding glass door that opens to a very small patio with a gas grill that takes up about 40% of the space.||||Behind the living room wall, complete with a gas fireplace (that only works from Sept-May) and a hanging 45 inch television, is a good-sized bedroom. It’s equipped with a king bed and an end-of-bed padded sitting bench with built-in drawers, and a small closet with a hanging safe. There is a second fireplace and another hanging, slightly smaller television. There is also a moderately large, triangular soaking tub.||||To the side of the bedroom, with access from the living room is the bathroom with double sink vanity, adequate enclosed shower and large toilet room.||||Superficially, the room doesn’t disappoint… until it’s used. In no specific order-||*The carpeted floor feels like there is no pad. It may as well have been one huge rug cut to fit on top of a hard floor;||*The coffee maker lacks a basket to hold the filter and the coffee carafe lid is broken, allowing steam to escape and burn your thumb if you use it to keep the lid from falling off when pouring coffee from the glass container;||*One of the bathroom sinks has a cold water faucet that lacks any pressure beyond a thin pour;||*The ceiling exhaust fan near the shower seems to be wired to flush the room with hot air rather than to draw warm, moist air out;||*The cable television lacks a consistent signal, creating a frequent, distorted image when a signal isn’t stalled or missing entirely;||*The management allows children to remain in the swimming pool after dark, screaming enough to require that windows and glass doors be closed to muffle their noise. BTW, those are openings required for ventilation purposes since the building doesn’t have air-conditioning due to it’s mountainous setting. Why the halls are cool and the Fitness Room is literally cold, seems to be the exceptions; and||*The 8 floor building with approximately 300 rooms, was serviced by a single elevator when a second one was taken offline.||||This is a Westin wanna-be, an attribute it will never attain due to a lack of detail and attention by ghost management. If you enjoy hearing children running up and down the halls while parents-in-training would rather talk with friends, laughing and playing loud music while keeping their doors open for cool hallway air, congratulations, this is your full price, mediocre disappointment.
