Sheraton Hartford South Hotel - Hotel in Rocky Hill - 100 Capital Blvd, USA

The room was cozy with a very comfortable bed. The location is close to the highway and was fine for me personally, but I wasn't looking to explore activities in the neighborhood. I did have a slight issue with the staff member who checked me in. She gave a bit of attitude about reassigning a room because I had my dog with me. Overall, though, it was a fine stay.

No, never again. We went with a group that had a block of rooms, and many of the rooms were unacceptable at check-in and the rest were, at best, marginally bearable. Some first-floor rooms were infested with earwigs, and others had torn sheets and stained bedding and carpet that led to some of the members of the group to need to move rooms. Overall, the rooms were damp, and the air felt heavy with a pungent, dank smell that it seemed like they were trying to mask with a scented spray. The rooms are dark, dated, and, unless you are at the very end of a long winding hallway far from the elevators and lobby, rather noisy. There were other issues, but that's the bulk of it. So far this summer, I've stayed at 9 different hotels across 3 major brands, and this was the worst. It's not a bad location, but it needs a gut remodel.

The hotel itself was pleasent. The front Desk Clerks and Management were accommodating. I stayed here 3 other times before, as for many years in the past for 2 overnight stays. Including this stay June 2024.|This was the issue. The restaurant staff received a ton of money for preparing 2 meals during the stay. Breakfast and a fine prime rib or chicken dinner.|It was the prime rib dinner that I didn't get a chance to enjoy due to the bkantent lie by the kitchen staff. |From the Kitchen Manager to the cooks (they are not chefs), kept on telling me , they will prepare a certain dressing (French) due to allergies. |After going in and explaining about the allergy 1 hour prior to meal, they the head cook, and manager that my request would be honored. Lie number #1.|30 min before meal time, it was stated, request was "being worked on'. Lie #2.|Wait staff notified and bought it to the kitchen, 'it will be right out with the bread, Lie #3.|Meal time, no dressing. Wait staff came out, "the cooks will not make it for you, it's not required for them to do that". |After 1 hour to inform the kitchen staff, now it's a flat NO. |The kitchen staff received a visit. One Lie after another. They still are lying about my simple request. |Not honoring a request is one issue, lying and stringing a customer along, for over an hour, is another.|I was now banned from returning to my table even to have an expensive meal that was prepaid for. Frustrations level grew high. |One lie after another. NO meal that whole evening and NO Integrity within the kitchen Staff. |This is pathetic. A simple request due to allergies, for a function, as I am a disabled combat veteran. Only to have'd paid for a meal, I couldn't have due to the false pretenses and the lack of caring to a paying customer.|This deserves better treatment to a 22 year disabled Naval Veteran.

Oh this was an amazing experience. This is the 1st year I'm apart of the Platinum Elite Club & the Sheraton Club made me feel amazing. The beds are oh so soft & comfy. The food & drinks were amazing. I loved every bit of my experience. I will be returning

Not impressed. Room was ok bare bones. Had to request towels upon arrival because they provided one. No bath mat. Empty tissue box. Freezer in mini fridge was caked in ice so not able to use. No AC outside the room. Ice machine on our floor not working.

This place was good. The rooms were decent sized. The bed was comfortable, and so were the pillows. The location was right off the highway. It was quiet and front desk was very pleasant. The room phone didn't work, the bed lights reading lights were not plugged in. Room service needs to be requested the night before. Or you may not be serviced. It's still recommended. Overall experience was good.

I traveled here for a business conference. The hotel is in a nice secluded spot and easy to access from the highway. The parking is good. The conference was great. The Sheraton employee who assisted with the event was great. Very helpful and receptive. The food served at the conference which was a light continental breakfast and a buffet lunch was really good. The only minor issue was that the lunch wasn’t left out long enough for those attendees who were busy at the conference and couldn’t eat their lunch right away. It seemed like they took the food back more quickly than other hotels that I attended. Other than that, it was a good place to hold the conference and the premises were clean and pretty.

The good thing about this place was the Hot tub. Now that they took it out there is no reason for me to go there anymore ever!! I went there with my daughter and Small dog. After a long work and school week we would go sat til Sunday to have some mommy and me time. My daughter loved the pool while I relaxed in the hot tub. Now that's gone so my kid doesn't want to go there anymore. Beds are comfy, staff is very nice and front desk was never a problem. The only issue was the pool area needed some maintenance but instead of doing g that they took out the hot tub smh!!
