We are still staying here so hope that there is improvement. I will post an update following checkout. ||The good: |The staff has all been professional, responsive and friendly. The hotel has been relatively quiet.||The not so good: |I’ve always had exceptional experiences at Marriott hotels in terms of food quality and options, grounds, positive interactions with staff, grounds, amenities and cleanliness. The hotel appears nicer in photos than in person. It is dated and the setup of the rooms are awkward. The food options are limited and the hours listed do not always seem to align with actual availability due to assumed scheduling/staffing constraints. Perhaps the most disappointing part for me is the low standard of cleanliness. The room was not cleaned to standard expectations with respect to a Marriott affiliated hotel. This is true both upon arrival and throughout the stay following maid service. The shower/bath was not cleaned, the beds were awkwardly made and am unsure if sheets were changed, there were not any garbage liners in the trash bins, at least one towel replaced was visibly dirty, there were areas that had spots/hand prints that were not cleaned and areas that did not pass the dust/handglove test. ||Overall, while the room and hotel is a bit dated, the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness is the biggest issue and reason to choose another local option if not addressed by management.

Spent five days here for our family business event. In 20 years I've never experienced hospitality as we did here. The entire staff was outstanding! With my four children and we highly recommend. Huge facilities all first class. Right across street from incredible park for younger kids. And the prices were so reasonable I thought I was back in 1970s.

My family stayed here this past weekend for a local soccer tournament and I hate to say it, but we are extremely disappointed with our stay at the Sheraton Fairplex. We frequent Bonvoy hotels often, usually with amazing stays, however the stay this weekend was a different story. We booked for 3 nights and ended up only staying for 2, leaving the soonest chance that we got! Our reservation was made for 4 guests and they only provided enough towels for 2 people. I had to request on 3 different occasions for extra towels, before my request was met with service. Then when we went to shower, there wasn’t any hot water in our room. Additionally, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant the first night and waited 30-45 minutes before even being greeted by the server. Our total dinner time took over 3 hours. If needing to stay in the area for an event, I recommend that you overlook this hotel! Save yourself the trouble!

We hosted our event at the conference center, and the service was outstanding! Andy was incredibly accommodating, helping us schedule visits to the venue and suggesting rooms and ideas that perfectly suited our event. Maria did a fantastic job with planning and event coordination. The staff throughout the day was excellent—quickly adjusting chairs as needed and accommodating additional guests during lunch, all while ensuring there was enough food and seating. In the evening, we had dinner and a cocktail hour at the on-site restaurant, where Prateek and his team provided exceptional service. A big thank you to the Sheraton Pomona Fairplex for delivering a great experience for us and our guests.

If you’re in need of a hotel in the Pomona area this hotel is fantastic. Clean, updated, outstanding service, great outdoor space ie patio and pool. Restaurant and bar, we ate at both and both are really good. Rooms are very large. Safe area, next to the Fairplex, tons of outdoor parking including valet if so desired. Overall a really good hotel.

I regretfully made a reservation for a hotel room here last weekend due to attending graduation events in the area. Not knowing there was an event taking place, we decided to have breakfast at a local spot, the Violet Rooster, which was fantastic. However, upon attempting to return to the hotel, we were unable to do so as there was a long line of cars attending a nearby event, causing us to wait for four hours before we could access our room and continue with our family activities. When we inquired about any compensatory measures for the inconvenience caused, the hotel staff responded by stating that it was not their responsibility to inform guests about local events. While I understand their standpoint, it would have been greatly appreciated if we were informed about potential disruptions during our reservation process. Upon finally returning to our hotel room, we encountered several issues - the TV was not functional, the toilet was dirty, there was a pubic hair in the bathtub, the microwave was broken and emitted a curry smell throughout the room, creating an unpleasant ambiance. The hotel staff, for the most part, displayed rudeness and unhelpfulness. In particular, a conversation with a Latina woman over the phone left a negative impression, and a young man with short facial hair exhibited unwarranted rudeness towards us, prompting our decision to leave early. Displeased with the overall experience, we chose to depart early in search of better accommodations elsewhere. Despite this, the staff charged us for the entire stay, citing company policy as the reason. This experience stands out as the worst hotel stay I have ever encountered. I advise future guests to conduct thorough research to avoid similar inconveniences and unpleasant surprises during their stay.

STAY AWAY. Where do I start. First time in Claremont to drop off kid in college. Chose this hotel for the quality associated with Marriott name. But it is worst than any hotel I have ever stayed in my 40 years of travel. The duvet was without cover. It was sandwiched between two bedsheets. The Airconditioner had its own mind and wouldn't follow the temp setting. The room did not have basic amenities like hand soap next to sink. Imagine having to go to shower each time you washed your hands. Fixed bottles in shower like a 3 star MOTEL, which the staff didn't bother to check for contents. No tissues either. Very poor quality towels. Did I mention dirty shower? On the 4th day, room wasn't cleaned or attended by housekeeping. REASON - they were short staffed. The front desk sent a very angry housekeeping staff with towels at 6 pm. He was verbally aggressive with threatening body language. He backed off and left as soon as I pulled out my phone to record him. THIS IS A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. This hotel is old and disgrace to the Marriott brand. The elevators are operating with temporary certification, indicating serious safety issues. One elevator has a sign restricting it to max. 2 people. The restaurant was closed for first 3 days. You had to place online order and pickup your food. Not even room service. I plan to visit Claremont atleast 3 times a year for next 4 years but will never again go near this hotel. There are better hotels in Claremont.

Family of 4 had a 1 night staycation for the LA County Fair. The hotel is the only property that is attached to the fairgrounds. Self or valet parking is easy. Parking is separate than the fair general parking. Our family returns every year because we enjoy the convenience of taking a break mid-day. However, the hotel is very dated. We have been returning year after year and not one update has been made. Rooms are large and convenient. Small refrigerator, microwave, and glass wear. The club lounge is no longer available. ||Just a basic stay

You get what you pay for. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Hallway had a smell of old urine. Furniture dated and worn. Rooms are noisy and you can hear everything in hallway. Housekeeping is a little loud in AM.

Had low expectations for this place, but I was proven wrong. The Latte De Olla was a 10/10. As someone who cannot drink dairy, I’m happy to know they have many dairy alternatives. Small coffee shop with authentic coffee.
