Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport - Hotel in Romulus - 8000 Merriman Rd, USA

I honestly wasn't there very long and didn't experience a sort of service per se, but everything that I did experience there was top shelf. The rooms are nice and roomy and clean. The bathrooms are spacious and clean and they provide ample amenities. The only issue I had really was how expensive their menu is in the fact that the rooms are pretty pricey considering and they charge a hell of a lot for the breakfast.

Positive: The building is nice, the hotel is clean and the room are spacious. The bathroom are a little small but nothing crazy as everything else makes up for it. Hot tub and pool are also very nice and clean and match the overall esthetic of the hotel. Negative: The only thing would be if breakfast was added to the final bill or if I could get it charged to my room but besides that everything was good!

First off, the food here is excellent and not too overpriced.... somewhat pricey, yes, but overpriced, no. It's very flavorful and the presentation is excellent, plus the service the bar, dinner, and breakfast was impeccable. Service regarding house keeping is a different story. It was hit or miss. At times, it was well done and they were quick to respond but other times it was less than impressive and it took a long time to respond. Really, it was mediocre to be truthful. I must say, however, that any time house keeping eas delayed we always got a free breakfast certificate or drink certificate, etc. Check in and check out was quick. The rooms themselves were okay and some maintenance and cleaning could be done in areas, but overall, it wasn't bad. Some things just need some work, ad with any hotel. The main thing is that they were clean and free from bed bugs. The location is close to the airport but I really couldn't hear any planes flying over, unless I was in the lobby at night or had my balcony door open. Even then, it wasn't bad and you'd really never know you were that close. If I have to go to Detroit again, then I'd definitely consider staying here. If anything, just for the food.

Front desk staff and restaurant/bar staff were so kind but the rooms here are not clean. My first room had hair everywhere in the bathroom and they were kind enough to give me a new room. The second room also had hair everywhere in the bathroom. Not at all clean…and it makes it very hard to believe they took the time to clean anything throughly if the bathroom was very dirty.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The supervisor Stephanie was amazing. They went out of their way to help us anytime they could. They worked with us to extend our stay twice. The house keeping was great, especially since we had a dog and they still worked around us. I will definitely come back to the Sheraton if I'm in Detroit. Highly recommend!!

At first my room was dusty. I communicated to the mgr and desk and nothing much was fixed. I have severe dust mite allergies and communicated it as well. I spoke with housekeeping manager and came back the next day and my room was so clean. They even left me a note and put my lotion by my bed. Larissa was the housekeeping manager who truly heard me and that I am on all rhe meds I can be on to help with my allergies. I am here for 10 days so my child can compete in Jr. Gold so it is important I stay well. Thank you so much Larissa!! You are an asset and as a hotel employee myself I truly understand the time it took your staff to clean for me.

We stayed for one night before an early flight and left our car at the hotel during our trip. Our room smelled like musty smoke, there were stains on the sheets, and the hallway was dirty with stains and trash. Club lounge is not open on weekends. Shuttle service is bad. On our way to the airport from the hotel in the early morning, the shuttle service to the airport took only 5min (the good part), provided by the security guy who seemed unhappy he had to drive us and thus drove really fast (the bad part) — at 3am there was some trouble with an individual and about 10 cops at the entrance to the hotel and some of the staff seemed invested in the drama. On our return, we arrived at 12:30am, and I called for a shuttle. They said no problem! It will be there soon. I called again at 12:47, they said no worries! It will be there soon. I called at 12:56, they said no worries, he just picked up people at the other terminal and is on his way to get us. I called again at 1:06… this time “Yeah, the shuttle was too full so he went back to the hotel, he is just now headed to you.” In the end, we waited at the airport transportation area for ~35 minutes when the drive to the hotel is just 5 minutes. The shuttle is a 15-person shuttle bus, so it’s tough to believe that at 12:30am on a Monday it was just slammed. I don’t necessarily mind waiting, but I hate being lied to!

I had an early morning flight and a $150 on my Delta American express, so decided to stay here since it ended up being a free stay. ||I would give this place a four star if it wasn't for the awful shuttle service at night.||Hotel was nice and close to the airport. Not that much food selection at the bar, but the food prices weren't bad for a hotel. ||They charge for overnight parking, which I've never had a hotel charge me before if it was just for the night and I was staying there and I've done plenty of overnight stays at the Hampton and Hilton garden inn at DTW pre covid with no parking for the night I was there.||I normally park at the QwikPark next door and was told the hotel lot was only $1 a night more. I was told that shuttles ran every 20 minutes continutally and you didn't need to call for the shuttle. I figured I'd get a little extra sleep and just prepay the parking. Wish I would have gotten up earlier and moved my car now.||The morning shuttle was fine. My return flight landed at 11:30 PM and I'm almost an hour drive away, and just wanted to get home. I waited about 15 minutes for the shuttle and another lady in the bus shelter at DTW said she had been waiting a long time. I called the hotel and she asked which terminal and said a shuttle should be there in 12 minutes. 20 minutes after that call and no shuttle in sight. ||I decided to ask a shuttle driver for another hotel nearby that had no passengers get on if he would take me to the Sheraton and he took me and the other waiting passenger and we both tipped him really good and when he pulled up to the hotel there were two shuttle busses up front, so who knows when we would have been picked up. The other lady said she was waiting almost an hour when we got on the bus.||This hotel is fine if you have an early morning flight, but park your car at QwikPark next door instead of their lot, and I would avoid it if you are overnighting after a late flight.
