I recently stayed at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. At first sight, the hotel appears a bit dated and could use some remodeling. However, the check-in process was smooth and welcoming. One of the major inconveniences during my stay was the elevator situation. The main elevators were out of service, and everyone had to use the service elevator. With only one service elevator available, there were times when I had to wait up to 20 minutes to get to my room or the lobby. This was quite frustrating, and it would have been a nice gesture if the hotel had provided complimentary breakfast or some extra points to compensate for this inconvenience. On the bright side, my room was very comfortable and relaxing, with a beautiful view. The shower was excellent—hot and with good water pressure. Additionally, I loved the refreshing water with fruits available at the entrance/exit. Despite the elevator issue, I would stay here again. The location is fantastic, very close to the 405, and there’s an amazing coffee shop nearby called "Carrara’s" that I highly recommend. Overall, a good stay with some room for improvement.

I had a decent stay at the hotel. Christopher at the front desk was very friendly and helped us a few times. The lady at the bar was also very nice. Place was decent, you get what you paid for. They did have elevator issues but I was given an option if I wanted a room in the first floor and I did so I didn’t have to deal with that.

My friend, who got married near by used the Sheraton as base for the marriage party. Lots out of town people stayed here, local people, etc. I was a little nervous about booking a room here because all the negative reviews. And ours was great. We were on the third floor balcony. Others did not have the same experience. Even our room could use a refresh as far as the tub and shower. The brunch buffet is nice and the services good. At some point you need to upgrade your elevators. They broke down at one point during our stay. Parking is great. It’s a beautiful spot and the outdoor area was nice. Invest a little money you could really have a, five star location.

The hotel is ok. It's not amazing but it's not the worst I've ever stayed in. It looks like they renovated sometime in the early 2000s and then just never touched the place again. For my needs, though, it was just fine. It seems management sort of gave up on the place and are just letting it run out till there's nothing left. As other people have commented, elevators were broken most of the time I was there. Marriott just needs to put some money into this place. Honestly, it has the bones, it just needs someone with a modicum of care to go in there and revamp it. Let's tear out that terrible carpeting in the rooms and replace it with new carpets. Replace the curtains with nice curtains. Update the furniture, the lamps, the wall treatment, and the bathrooms. The bathrooms look like they were a time capsule from the late 1970s: (fake) wood paneling, beige tiling, black granite countertop, low-set toilet. Elevators clearly need an update too while you're at it!! I do appreciate the complimentary coffee in the mornings. The mattress seemed new, also, so that was good since sleeping well is the priority at a hotel. TV is an enormous flat screen. Kind of laughable considering how outdated everything around it is. I'd like to thank Alexander at the front desk for helping me out. Good guy. It's clear the staffing at the hotel isn't the problem. It's the place itself that needs a refresh.

We were a little bit nervous staying here after reading some not so complimentary reviews. I was here for one of my best friends wedding with a bunch of other friends and they’re relatives and we had a very nice day. We had a balcony room on the third floor that was pretty nice. Everything felt upgraded except for the tub and shower. That needs some attention, the staff was very kind and the breakfast buffet was good and quite reasonable. The pool area was nice and they had complementary tea and coffee in the lobby almost all day. The bar was not open during the day on Saturday.

We stayed here this past weekend for one night and wouldn’t stay here again. We were in town for an evening event but the rooms were not ready at the check in time of 4pm. Several other guests and I had to get ready for our various events in the bathroom since they were running very behind on cleaning rooms. There were about 20-30 people just waiting around in the lobby for rooms at 4:30pm. We were not offered any discount, late check out time, or drink ticket from the staff to make up for the inconvenience of not being able to get ready for the event in my room. The price is most certainly not worth this experience.

This hotel is located a few blocks off of the 101 freeway, nestled in the hills. It has a standard Sheraton look and feel and was a bit dated but clean. They have meeting/event spaces which are quite nice (I was there for a high school reunion). Front desk service could be better - there was a very long wait to check in and one of the receptionists clearly wanted to be somewhere else and was not very friendly or helpful. The bartender, on the other hand, was very personable! Guest rooms were large and comfortable, bathroom was nothing special. I had a nice balcony that faced the mountains and offered a pretty view.

My spouse and I stayed here for one night and we really regret choosing this hotel. We were in the area for a wedding and needed to check in to get ready. We arrived an hour early before check in time and we knew we weren’t guaranteed an early check in. But we figured we ask anyway. They told us we couldn’t check in early because nothing was available, and added that they couldn’t guarantee we would be able to check in at 4pm (our actual check in time) because they were behind. Our room was not ready until 5pm and it was frustrating as we had to rush to get ready to leave our event. Since we technically got one less hour of use of the room, we should have been offered a late checkout or discounted our stay. They did not offer anything. The elevators don’t work and a worker told us they’d been broken down for weeks. We were told to use the service elevator and it broke down too, so we had to take the stairs for the remainder of our stay. The buttons in the service elevator don’t light up either, so you don’t know if it’s going to stop at your floor or not. Upon returning to the room later that evening, we noticed there were no towels in the bathroom. We called to have some delivered and they sent a security guard to bring them up, which we thought was odd. The outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. The AC would not turn off nor could we adjust the temperature, so the room was pretty cold. Bad experience from beginning to end. Do not stay here.
