We always stop here for a meal when we get a chance. A very quiet place in Chloride, AZ. We had breakfast, which didn't disappoint. We didn't stay in the hotel. We did ask for a tour of the property. The cast of Rebel Rousers stayed here when filming. There's plenty of things to do nearby to keep you occupied for a day. There's a mock ghost town, rock murals, antiques, general store, and a bunch of history. It's worth a visit! I know we'll be staying next time you we're in town.
Cute quaint place. Great food, very quiet, and Julie was so kind and friendly. So old fashioned but modern enough for our stay. Heater worked well and shower was great. Comfortable bed. If in the area again would stay.
Stopped at the restaurant, Yesterdays, attached to the motel. Food and service was fantastic. I had the breakfast burrito in the morning and it was so good, a burger with hand cut french fries for lunch. Thanks Cathy!
We decided to take a small detour off our Route 66 tour and spend the night at the Shep Miners Inn in Chloride AZ. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were simple but spacious and the exterior of the hotel had great historical character. The only slight issue is that was not a great wifi connection in the rooms.||The town of Chloride was very quaint and we especially enjoyed exploring the small historical western village across the street from the hotel. The food at Yesterday's was great as well. |
This is the 2nd time we stayed here, its a great little inn with some great people running it. ! showed up no reservations without problems , we got to choose our room and had some dinner in their restaurant. such great history here, will definitely come back ! thanx !
If you're looking for a cute inn within a historic small town, this is the place. The hotel is smaller and a little dated but in the best way. The owner checked us in and he was so polite and hilarious. The rooms are always clean and you never have that icky hotel feeling the next morning.
The inn was created way back as a stagecoach repair building and they're updating some things to make it more homey and modern. I'm the area theres a lot to see, but be careful exploring off paths because this was once a major mining town and there are leftover mines around!
We stayed a night at Shep's Miners Inn following a South Rim to Rim hike at the Grand Canyon and it was everything we needed it to be. The staff was very helpful and checked us in even though it was after 10pm. The room was comfortable and clean. The room had 3 rooms and 4 beds, which was awesome. The room came with a few basic amenities like a coffee maker. There is an adjacent restaurant and bar that was perfect for breakfast. The property (and town) is quirky and interesting. It's off the beaten path, but well worth your consideration. Give it a chance.
I've never heard of chloride. We stopped in the middle of the night cause we really needed a bed to sleep in. (We were passing thru) i was pleasantly surprised how nice the room was. The bed squeaked a lot but other than that it was a nice room. Queen bed, comfy, cool air, microwave and fridge, coffee maker, bathroom was nice. I would highly recommend. Wish we had the time to explore the little town. It was pretty cool. It reminded me of tombstone but smaller.
