Super fun atmosphere! Loved watching the brewing/distilling happen while eating. The food was great. Flights were fun. Service was fast, but you order completely on your phone and I wanted to ask questions about the drinks. More efficient for sure, but not as personal. The Mexican pizza, cheese curds, grilled cheese, and French dip were amazing! A must try in Mammoth!
Nice distillery with beer, cider, and spirits available, they even have Tuesday specials with margaritas and tacos. You can see the stainless steel tanks inside and have a couple benches outdoors as well. They use toasttab to order and pay through a QR code on your phone or you can order with the waiters. Great spot to grab a drink! We got a hot toddy, their cider, and a spirit tasting.
Okay we had to come here twice during our Mammoth Lakes trip, we loved the Hawaiian pizza so much! If you’re a Hawaiian pizza eater, definitely stop in to try it. It comes with not only pineapple, but also mandarin (which sounds a little odd) but it seriously was delicious. I also ordered a house made ranch to dip (iykyk) and wow I could have eaten 3 of these. My husband went with the tacos, which were very good. The second time we came here, we decided to try some of their drinks and were not disappointed! The espresso martini was great. And the old fashioned was good too. Ordered the cake with ice cream for dessert, was good (maybe better for vanilla lovers though). On top of great food, you also get an awesome atmosphere at this place. It’s right in town, and they have a lot of open air seating so you can enjoy the local music and people watch. Very cool place, definitely best food we had in Mammoth.
Kids friendly: we were not sure if kids were allowed but delighted to see others with even younger kids. Pretty crowded but our waitress was attentive. Made excellent recommendation on cocktails. Definitely get the gourmet tacos - we got pork belly, shrimp and carne asada. All were finger-licking good!
What a fun evening with family, live local music, and of course, our drinks! Located just inside the Village and right next to the open plaza, the interior design, and energy will draw you in, and just maybe...won't let you go! What a cool place to hang out, meet some locals, share a conversation, or just enjoy their wonderful cocktails! All 3 of us were pleasantly surprised with just how good they were. So good, we ordered another round...and a bottle to go🤸
Fine place to go for beers, cocktails and fairly standard bar food in a chill setting conditional on being part of the ski village. Tried the flight of beers on tap, spinach dip and tacos. Tacos are pretty non-authentic replacing the tortilla with a fried pita bread.
Most people don't think about Shelter as a primary dining option when coming to Mammoth, but it's truly become our favorite restaurants in town. The food is seriously outstanding. The chicken tacos are my fave, but the shrimp and pork belly tacos are also amazing. We also love the pizzas and drinks. It's also typically pretty easy to find a table either indoors or out. Check it out next time you're in Mammoth.
Shelter Distilling is a place to get warm after a day of skiing! Not only because it has a cozy atmosphere, but the drinks are great as well. We had 2 IPA’s and the Espresso Myself. As far as food we only had the chilli but it was delicious. They also hold events. One coming up! An anniversary event! The service was good. Many bartenders whom all served us, and were very attentive. They have a bar area and a place to be seated at tables. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a drink after a long day of skiing.

I can't comment on the rooms, I ate at Petra's. I love the butternut squash gnocchi in mushroom sauce, the Ceasar, and the crab cakes. ð¦ The array of wines are a delight, plus you can taste before buying. My favorite place to dine in Mammoth.
We came here before our dinner reservation. Itâs a very nice local brewery. We came from San Diego so we love local beers. I am not really a beer lover, so I ordered a cherry sour. It was delicious. I recommend it who doesnât like drinking normal
We enjoyed coming here for dinner, so much that we came twice during our stay in Mammoth. You can tell this place is a local favorite because it was packed each visit. Although there are tons of tables, we had to wait a while for a table our first ti
