This a beautiful, peaceful and meaningful memorial in a lovely green space park. The statue of the old veteran is memorable. Was just there with my dad (WWII vet) and it brought to his mind many of the men with whom he served and those from his hometown, some of whom had incredible stories of bravery and valor. Please take time to visit and honor those who have preserved our freedom.
Free parking and free park. Quiet, clean, landscaped park honoring veterans. Biking and walking trails. No bathrooms (as far as I could tell) Fishing landings/wooden fishing docks (not for boats). Listen to the birds
This was a peaceful place and truly a hidden gem to remember those who served our country. The sunset was fantastic along with smelling the jasmine growing throughout the park.
What better way to say thank you. The lawn and statues are beautiful. It is very well kept and cared for.
Great place to get a walk in for the Pups... A "there & back" for the whole length will get ya about 2.4 miles of walking. Great view of the marsh for most of that walk ! Nice brick & mortar bathroom facilities at the south end of the walk. Hose bibs available to fill water bowls. New security cameras up everywhere along the paved paths.
