Shell Island Beach - Park in Panama City - , USA

What a great experience. Not very many people, so it really felt like a deserted island. Tons of shells and clear water. A must if your in the area and have kids.

That’s a perfect spot for exploring unharmed beaches with super clean water and coastal areas with your family. Great experience strongly advise to visit there.

The Gulf side has gorgeous waters! The flies were a little aggressive but saltwater helped keep them from biting. Be sure to bring some DEET. Our natural insect repellent wasn't very effective. Bring your own chairs/umbrellas/beach toys if you want to use them. Our boat rental also gave us a plastic bag to keep all of our trash to take with us. It was a serene experience...we went during off season (mid-Sept) and during the morning (11 a.m.) so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves for awhile. The cove section of the island had a lot of jellyfish and hermit crabs near the shore.

Beach was amazing. Love the setting. Beautiful place to swim and enjoy your vacation. I will for sure be coming back to visit again. We took the Shuttle ride to the beach and got dropped off. Been here for over 3 hrs now😁 no restroom on the island though so unless you want to pee in the water I suggest using the restroom before leaving. Shuttle comes to the island every 30 mins to pick people back up and drop more off. Cost $23 for adults for the shuttle ride there and back included. Kids are like $16. Toddlers are free. If you come tp Panama City you have to come here and enjoy this place. It is literally the best bang for your buck around.

Shell Island Beach is a great place for families with young kids. It has everything you need; parking, showers and restrooms. It was a pleasant surprise to find this spot in Panama City, Florida.

Very private. No large crowds. Also no bathrooms or shaded areas. Was a fun experience though. Didn't find a lot of big shells but tons of small ones.

Shell island was a great getaway from the large beach crowds of Panama City Beach. Make sure you bring everything you want because there is nothing but a very friendly guy to sell you a small selection of drinks and amenities (chair, umbrella). The state park was also nice with a few different beaches and trails to walk.

Loved this place! Found shells, sharks teeth, and sand dollars. Lots of jellyfish out. Only saw one stingray. Awesome way to spend your day.
