i stayed the night with my s/o and Deb was so very welcoming. She let us know upon checking in they she offers pastries and fresh brewed coffee in the morning. She asked what our plans were to let us in on the local knowledge she had that fit our plans. The location is walking distance from town so we were able to go out for dinner and drinks (safe neighborhood to walk back at night) and in the morning an array of cafe options. Though the room is condensed with everything needed it was very tidy, cozy, and she had games, wine glasses and bottle opener. She was kind enough to have complimentary water at the ready which really goes a long way when you’re having fun in the desert. The bed was more comfortable than any hotel experience and in my opinion that is more than enough reason to choose this place to stay. We plan to make it an annual trip and I hope we can stay here again in the future. Thank you for such a lovely experience!
Stayed here over this past weekend and absolutely loved everything about the lodge. Very cute western themed interior that really added to the feel of my trip. Deb the manager was such a pleasure and very accommodating. I will be recommending the lodge to family and friends.
Would stay here again! Smaller side of rooms but very very clean. Bed was comfortable. The service at the desk was great and very friendly. The front porch area made it nice to get up have some of their coffee and do some work in the morning.
We absolutely loved this little gem! So many little thoughtful amenities. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The outside patio was relaxing and inviting. They even have board games and a fire pit! In the morning, the office had a great coffee set up, snacks, even juice boxes for kids. The room had hot chocolate and hot tea with mugs. Wine glasses and a wine bottle opener, and water bottles in the fridge. All different soaps, lotions, shampoo, a hair dryer, even cotton balls and q-tips! It's location is perfect! Very close to downtown. We will definitely be back!
Quaint and cozy hotel! Walking distance to the historic whiskey row and trails. Deb is super friendly and you can’t beat the coffee and snack bar. Great porch to sit and drink enjoy the morning with said coffee and snacks. Rooms are small and if you’re clumsy at all you’ll bump into everything, but they’re clean, comfy, and have all the amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
Quaint motel out of the 1950’s — like motels used to be. Updated rooms which are nicely appointed. Very clean and in a great location relative to the Prescott town square and whiskey row. Comfortable beds and nice linens. The only reason we give the hotel 4 stars (and not 5) is that it is located on a busy street (Sheldon Road) and next to a stop light. You get a lot of traffic noise from that road and from vehicles leaving the intersection as they accelerate away. At nighttime the traffic is considerably lower so it did not affect our sleeping. But if you want to sit outside and enjoy a coffee or Prescott temps, it’s gonna be loud with the traffic noise. The rooms have old fashioned window AC units. They are relatively quiet, but will turn on/off all night. Note this is only a problem in the summer. Bathrooms are small. Not a lot of room to maneuver. But everything works well and you get nice soaps, shampoos and lotions. The rooms are nicely decorated and each has its own unique design. This is what makes the Sheldon interesting. No two rooms are alike and you can feel what it must have been like 60 years ago when Prescott was a sleepy cowboy town. There is coffee and water and some breakfast snacks provided. Mostly repacked stuff like granola bars, Little Debbie’s, cheese nips and a bit of fruit. It’s adequate to start your day. Kind of a “grab and go” approach where you take or for an evening snack. You can take it to your room or sit outside. Parking is adequate and right in front of your room. So it’s easy to move your things in & out. IF you are trying to find an old style motel experience, The Sheldon Street Lodge is a good choice. But it is a bit more expensive that other hotels in the area and not necessarily a better sleep. Just different in terms of the rooms you will get due to the old style charm. We did like it. But personally, I would not go back as I don’t see the value in it compared to other similar old hotels which are very nearby for the same or a lower price that don’t have the traffic noise.
Sheldon St. Lodge was an unexpected surprise! Rustic, quaint, historic. The rooms are a bit small, I would request #6 next time, but so pretty and comfortable. The hospitality was top-notch. We were greeted by Deb, she shared some interesting facts about the various old photos and antique items that cover the walls of the lobby. There were several offerings of hot beverages and snacks and packaged pastries in the morning. A real taste of old west AZ. Give it a try!!
Surprisingly cute, rooms are a tad small but honestly don’t let that you discourage you. location is great to downtown and lots of shopping within walking distance. Staff was very sweet and the office had lots of good snacks and coffee very well thought out. We only stayed one night but will definitely come back soon!!!!!
This place completely surpassed my expectations. Itâs usually difficult finding a smoothie place that have good tasting smoothies AND be healthy. Their smoothies are low on calories, high in protein, fiber, and great taste. I had the banana cream p
