|We received a very friendly welcome. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and a small table and chairs, but that was all there was room for. No extras such as fridge/microwave or coffee machine. Good toiletries. Good wifi. However the room was nowhere near the 250 sq ft they suggest even if you include the bathroom. The lighting in the room was poor and not good enough to read by.||It was therefore nice to have the parlour to sit in and games to borrow, we enjoyed the pub food and live music. ||They obviously think there is a lot of noise because they give you earplugs - but in fact it was very quiet at night - and the main issue was too much light from outside through thin curtains. ||They charge an iniquitous ‘resort fee’ to cover things that most hotels include in the price like wifi and parking (much of which is on street and while we were there a drunk driver smashed up 4 cars parked on the street outside). It also covers the pool at the Adrift Hotel which it says is ‘covered’ but this does not mean enclosed - when we tried to go it was full of people - it's very small - there were no pool towels and it's exposed to the air on the sides which was cold. ||

Very nice hotel. Older but with charm. Romantic. The outside flower gardens are nice and the inside lobby is beautiful. Nice game area with a pool table and shuffleboard. Shower temperature goes up and down with the toilets being flushed as the plumbing is old but not a big deal. The restaurant really shines. Great food. Great atmosphere.

Such a cool & historic hotel. We stayed over Halloween/my birthday and were very satisfied with our stay. Awesome Halloween decor, interesting historical info, great hotel service, good pub food. My only “complaint” is that we didn’t meet a ghost (Boo!) and we didn’t find the bed/pillows to be super comfortable (but they certainly aren’t the worst). I thought it was really cool that when we ran into our Shelburne pub server Sara at a different location on our way out of town, she immediately recognized us & asked me how my birthday celebration was even asking if we liked the band we saw. Away from her work at the Shelburne, Sara still made us feel like an important guest & new friend.

My husband surprised me for our 20th wedding anniversary and took us here for 3 days. The room he booked for us was small and upstairs. However, a larger room downstairs became available and we switched. The lighting wasn't the best and there was definitely some wear and tear in our room. (a light bulb was out in the area with the tv, some "garbage" under the claw tub that wasn't cleaned, for example) The bed was super comfortable however and the stained glass windows are gorgeous! I loved the ambiance! We both love seafood and especially clam chowder. We had chowder in every restaurant we visited in the area. Unfortunately, the restaurant/pub here didnt serve clam chowder so we never ate there. I also had a visitor - yes, I believe I had a ghost visit! Just one of many cool things about this place.

Everything about this small historic inn is superb. From the decorations to the bar, the food, and the drinks, this place takes you back in time. If you're into atmosphere, this is the place for you. If you're into ghosts and ghost stories, this place is also for you. With 4 different ghosts believed to walk the grounds, I can't imagine a better place to bring on the adrenaline for a date night or just any night to remember.

This hotel and Pub have real Victorian charm. We did not stay overnight. We did go by for lunch and a glass of wine at the Pub. It was a very nice place, the food, atmosphere and wine were great.

Historic and even haunted hotel! I love the wood and stained glass look and the gardens. I also love that they have a bar and restaurant so you don't have to go anywhere! A bit outside of town and a bit of longer walk to the beach.

What a cute little place. I LOVED the ambiance. You enter through the pub/restaurant to get to the hotel desk. The lady at the desk was so friendly. Explained everything throughly! I saw someone write in their review that not all rooms are equal and they are right. Our room was exceptionally clean and cute, but not spacious. Was a little tight for two of us with two luggages, back packs, and cooler from our PCH driving as this was a hotel for the night. Our room also didn't have AC (something I should have expected in the northwest but we are from TX and just didn't anticipate it). Luckily they did have a fan that worked double time AND their windows had screens. We didn't eat at the pub, but got a night cap cocktail at the bar and took it up to the room. We didn't take advantage of this, but the lovely lady at the front desk explained they had a closet of games and books for us to use during our stay. While we didn't use it, I LOVE that and think everyone should know they have that! I would absolutely stay again, just be more selective with our room!

I think they got new owners. The place hasn't looked this nice in a very long time! Pizza is still my favorite ever after 40 years! Fresh paint, new lights, new beer taps, new games, we are very happy to see the place refreshed and looking amazing.
