This is a beautiful place. It is free to get in and we spent hours walking and hiking on the farm. Lots of sites to see a must do. One of my favorite things we did in Vermont!!!! I will say it will only be fun if you enjoy walking/ hiking.
Lovely place to take a hike through woods and pastures. They have short programs all through the day. Beautiful barn. Cheese making facilities. A grand view I’ve Lake Champlain to New York.
Beautifully maintained farm with kid friendly activities. People work there are friendly and we enjoyed our visit to the farm. We walked to the farm from the gate through a small trail in the weekday. There is also a cute little bakery inside the farm where they sell fresh pastries. At the entrance to the farm you will find a small shop/visitor center where they sell cheese.
I was fortunate to be able to dine here for breakfast recently and hope to return. The house itself is unreal and the food was incredible. We had the biscuits and gravy and the pancakes. Both the biscuits and pancakes were super fluffy. After breakfast we enjoyed a walk on the grounds. A lovely spot for a celebratory meal.
What a stunningly beautiful place! And you can visit for free (or a parking donation, if you wish.) Loads of trails and you can visit the beautiful inn and flower terrace. I didn't get to the farm side but it all looks amazing! The shop is really fun, but no "real" food there, not like wrapped sandwiches or anything. They have coffee and cider donuts, plenty of cheese and bags of chips for sale. I think you can get a proper meal at the Inn, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
Beautiful farm with lots to do!!! We walked from visitors centers to Lone Tree Hill and the views from there was absolutely stunning!! We rode the shuttle back to the visitors center. Tasted some cheddar cheese which was so good. Chocolate from the farm was delicious as well. Go to the bakery there and buy some bread and triple chocolate cookies.. absolutely delicious.
So much to do at Shelburne Farms! There's so many hiking trails. The views are gorgeous with the vast farmlands and lake views. The farm store has local items. The barn has many farm animals to check out. The inn has extremely beautiful interior with lots of antiques. The bakery has freshly baked breads that smells heavenly. So much to do !
Beware that tractor shuttle only works on weekends now, we checked the website before and it didn’t warn that the service stopped during the week and now all visitors can only walk to explore the area. The surrounding pastures are grand so be prepared to be on your feet if you come with children/elderly. Otherwise, great education programs like milking the cows, meeting sheep and watching cheesemakers.
Great food, pleasant service, clean, modern atmosphere. Tiny tables only drawback. Make a reservation and show up on time. Great hollandaise sauce. The home fries were the star, crunchy, yet soft in the middle. The seemed deep fried, but werenât to
We really enjoyed our visit. All of the exhibits are very nice. Our favs were the train station, steamboat, old store, toy exhibit & merry-go-round with exhibit. We felt it was a reasonable price for all they offer. They have a nice Cafe for a bite o
A local store recommended this restaurant and we're so glad they did. It's off the highway a little and we wouldn't have seen it. The service was fantastic (Thanks Chelsea!) And the food was even better. We've never had eggplant fries but oh my gos
So what I initially thought was the start of the pedestrian bridge at Falls Road was actually the attempted installation of a lamprey control barrier. Heavy rains on 10/31/2021 almost destroyed the sandbags set up during installation and they were re
This has to be one of the best ice cream shops Iâve ever been to. The flavor I got was âalmond Joyâ and It was an almond milk based I team. This flavor is great, and itâs not too hard or flakey on consistency. The Scoop nails it just in the
I enjoyed a nice date with my partner here. We devoured the Brussels sprouts. Entree portions are large; we both had enough for leftovers of the Fish and Chips and the Moroccan Meatballs special. The dessert was good if a little overpriced for a lava
Right to start with they're open please come on in welcome sign was awesome. You have to go and read it yourself. The food was very good and my burger was cooked exactly how I liked. The hostess and our waitress checked in often in West friendly and
