Shaw's Bridge Park follows the creek and has over a mile of trails. The area is good for bird watching, picnicking , fishing, kayaking and canoeing. When I was there most of the people were playing in the creek or walking their dog. The park has bathrooms, picnic tables, benches, a viewing area by the marsh (built as an Eagle Scout project) and barbecues.
April 2022 Beautiful, peaceful little trail along the Brandywine Creek, perfect for a short walk or some summer activity in the water. Just a nice place to relax for a couple hours and soak up nature.
A great little park at the confluence of the East and West Branches of the Brandywine River in East Bradford Township. There is parking and a place to put-in canoes and rafts for a meander down the river. At the put-in there is a detailed map of the river ahead so water-crafters don't trespass on private land and become aware of the best channel. Better to be safe than sorry!
Awesome park to enjoy Brandywine with or without dogs! A problem is that too many leave trash. I always find and remove glass, cans, plastic bags, fishing lines with hooks, pizza cartons… I added photo to say thank you for getting these tires out of the river! I hope township picks those up before next flooding moves them downstream! Still 5 stars. Just keep it clean please!
This is an awesome park to do some serious drone flying. It's perfectly outside the 3 mile radius of Brandywine Regional Airport (KOQN). Great open space for new flyers with a bench facing open area. There are a couple of trees down range but not taller than 50 feet. For more experienced pilots there's great views of the Brandywine and you can even see Philly in the distance at 400ft. Only 10 mins from West Chester.
Great place to spend a day having a pinic or just relaxing swiming etc
Used this park multiple times to access the brandywine creek for kayak trips. No vehicle access down to the creek so prepare to hoof it on foot or use a wheeled cart for transport from the lot. Super clean. Portable toilets on site. Grass cut real nice. No potholes in asphalt millings lot
My dog and I have logged a lot of time at Shaw’s Bridge park. It’s right on the creek for hours of playtime. The sign encourages keeping your dog under control versus keeping them on a leash - which is appreciated by those of us that have well trained dogs. All dog owners are respectful of each others. The walking path is a 1/2 mile loop but we just do the loop a couple times for a good workout. Just a great place to go!

This park is nice and quiet. Great walk, love the pine trees and I like the benches along the walking trail. Lovely in the Fall and there is a Wawa nearby. There are 2 children play areas one for toddlers.
Had a blast at this place. Loved the historic nature of the buildings. Only complaint is the playground quality isnât the best. It was very muddy days after a rain. We had a nice picnic. There were ample tables in the pavilion. Looking forward to c
