Awesome spot to bring the whole family. The water is great for swimming when it's warm out and a fun spot to fish. Lots of little fish for the kids.
Big field for sports, swings for the little ones and a nice jogging trail that goes across to Gambo fields and over the dam back to Shaw park.
The Kayak and canoe launch is great!
All around just a great spot with a little something for everyone.
Shaw Park has free parking, swimming, a swing set (about 4+ swings) & a big, grassy field for picnic's &/or running around and a pretty clean portapotty!! There's a small, grassy beach to put your belongings down. They also offer canoe, kayak & SUP rentals at decent prices.
I love putting in at Shaw Park. It's got a great little beach which makes getting on my SUP less messy especially with the pups. I think you can rent kayaks from the city of Gorham, but you should check their website to be sure.
It's a great place to swim with kids or even do a couple laps across the river and back. I don't think I've ever seen a motor boat come through. Just lots of kayaks and small fishing boats. Lots of people jump off the bridge into the water (though I'm not so daring myself!).
Additionally they have a wonderful little loop you can walk or run. Baseball fields and a little swing set. Portapotty is close to the river and there's a little shack with a bathroom that is sometimes open.
Great location to go in the summer. Bridge jumping is safe but keep in mind it is over 30 feet tall.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch here on one of their picnic tables. A wide, paved path goes along the river. It's a nice place to walk your dog. Kayak & canoe rentals too. The highlight was seeing a family of deer when leaving the park!
Nice little walking area and access to water. You can rent paddle boards and kayaks on the dock during the summer season. Great place for dogs!
The trails are nice and the views are beautiful and so peaceful.
A lot of history throughout the walk.
looks like oil spilling onto the beach? clean park with plentiful parking, a small beach, kayak dock, swings, and large feild. very dog friendly at one point there were 6 dogs on the small beach
Everything about this place is incredible. The food could not be more perfect and the people are so friendly. The comfort cheeseburger fries are my favorite and the fried dough on Sundays is always perfection. Thank you for giving us vegans everythin
My husband and I have been to MK Kitchen a few times, and it seems to get better each time. Of course with several trips you find what your preferences are, and we have found that we truly enjoy sitting at the bar where it feels very cozy, and is a
Love this place! It's a very relaxed vibe in that you go up and order at the counter, where they are servicing take out orders too. But that's no problem. Great spot for a quick bite and the food is a really good price, very delicious and generous po
Super friendly staff and very quiet atmosphere. We were one of only 3 other parties dining in. The immediate area was very clean and plenty of space. We order appetizers which both came out hot and fresh. Our main course was just the same!

Nice beer selection in a friendly pub environment. We had roasted Brussel Sprouts and potstickers that were really tasty. I had the burger with tots and my friend got the fish and chips. The fish was encrusted in a potato chip batter. He really liked
This is the first sit down AJs I've been to. Also noticed they were pretty quick. I've often been annoyed going to AJs because they're slow. Almost seems intentional but this one was nice and quick.
The bathroom was nice enough. I did have to wait
