Shark Reef Resort - Resort hotel in Port Aransas - 314 Cut-Off Rd, USA

We took a family vaca in mid August. It's our 3rd time to Port A but 1st time to stay at the Shark Reef and will definitely stay again. We had the Red fish Cottage and it was nice and clean and big enough for 4 adults. The facilities have everything you need for entertainment the heated pool and hot tub were on point we spent every evening in the area, We barbecued one night, They have a fire pit and horse shoes as well. Jennifer was very accommodating and Mr Jennifer as he called himself was totally cool and always made sure the pool area and water was right and Henry was awesome always checking to see if we needed anything. Only thing would be even better if they had breakfast but definitely looking forward to staying there next year.

This is our second stay and enjoyed this one as much as the last. Cozy, comfortable and VERY CLEAN rooms and grounds. Everyone here is so nice, met two housekeeping staff, maintenance staff and front office staff. Love the play area, availability of grills and picnic tables, nice pool and hot tub area. The landscaping is beautiful as well.

For context, we booked the night before and made no special requests. Also, this is not a big chain hotel. Location was fantastic! Right in the midst of things. We have 2 small children and the room was mostly great. We stayed in a room that had a walk in shower, which made baths a little tricky but still doable. The resort has a playground, basketball goal and swimming pool within throwing distance of any room. Shaved ice and breakfast tacos are a very short walk away. Overall, we were big fans of our stay and we plan to book again.

For being our first time in Port A, to spend Fourth of July weekend. We found this place to be outstanding. Jennifer Bender (Owner) was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. We received fresh linens daily and the cottages were so very private and quiet. The entire property was clean. We truly enjoyed the cottage we stayed in and would highly recommend this place.

Shark Reef Resort has ignored my request for help with an issue with their staff. My room was in terrible shape when I arrived, smelled of mildew and the bed appeared to be some sort of air mattress? I requested a room change and the staff member did not explain there would be an additional charge until after they already ran my credit card for it. When trying to discuss the issue, the staff member was extremely aggressive and insisted no wrong doing. I have attempted to contact management and have been completely ignored. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Loved this place! Family operated hotel, (who also rescue dogs, green flag) 5 minutes from the beach, clean rooms, cold AC, nice pool for the kids and a hot tub. Absolutely love this place &we will definitely be staying here for our next trip.

1st time to Port A and I really enjoyed my stay at this resort . Rooms were very clean and love how they provide all kitchen necessities. Jennifer & Mary are very nice people and I’m def going again this year

This is not a resort you pay a your hotel cost and a deposit then you’re treated like trash. This management has Truly put a stain on the port a community! Texans treat each other with respect and she shows non to a fellow Texans. Don’t ask for a blanket or pillows cause you’re bothering management!!! 🃏
