Shari's Cafe and Pies - Family restaurant in Newberg - 1000 N Springbrook Rd, USA

Ate breakfast here during our trip from Texas. Super friendly staff, good coffee (was so happy to see a place provide good creamer!!!) and yummy eggs and pancakes. Hash browns were a little undercooked, but overall we enjoyed our meal. Thanks, y’all!

We ordered breakfast on the app, I went to pick it up, and the forgot to pack my pancakes so I had to go back and this isn't the first time they have forgotten to give me some of my food. I also ordered waffles for my daughter and it had tiny black pieces on her waffles that look like plastic. I also ordered normal hashbrowns and stuffed hashbrowns, they didn't give me my stuffed hashbrown they gave me a normal one, and the hashbrowns were undercooked.

Classic homestyle diner that's cozy and consistent. Started coming here 30 yrs ago and always make it a point to drop by when visiting family. Allergen protocol and friendly staff makes this a great safe place for me and my friends to eat.

The chicken raw and then the salmon they overpower with salt and pepper who’s gonna eat that? it was my favorite place to go now it’s not my number one because after we tell them the chicken is raw they just put the same chicken supposed to be cook they send it back for the second time the chicken was still raw how the cook thinks the is good to go. Still had to pay my bill.

As a Shari's goes, it was standard. The waiter that we had was brand new as were the cooks, I think. My daughter's got the French dip and split it. One side of their sandwich was normal French dip, but the other side was nothing but mushrooms and peppers. It was weird to see. The fruit upgrade to my Benedict was not fresh, and since the grills and the deep fryer are not separate, cross contamination from meat is a big thing for allergies here. So, having the fish or the shrimp was out. Drink refills were not offered. We went at a slow time and still took almost 50 min to get our order. Cobwebs on the chandelier and lights, but it was a quick place to eat before a wrestling tournament, so we grabbed it.

We used to love Sharis but lately it has really gone downhill. We both ordered steak, one medium and one medium rare. They were both cold and cooked rare. Broccoli was cold. Mashed potatos only warm. I don't usually give bad reviews but other than a nice server we were really disappointed.

Sat for over 20 minutes with no silverware with coffee we couldn’t stir. Waited another 15 minutes for our order to be taken while servers are just walking around being inefficient. Also the manager standing in the cook line complaining about a server that didn’t show up yet has no money is very unprofessional. Made this seem like a very unhappy environment to be in. As a former restaurant manager this was very unprofessional and overall a terrible experience. The crazy thing is, they weren’t very busy at all.

We went in to get 3 milkshakes to go… they were almost $8 each and we also got a pie. They put our milkshakes in hot drink cups and they were a little over half full… that’s pretty ridiculous considering we paid 8$ a piece for them. Next, the pie in the case looked awesome and had all these toppings, when we got home and opened the pie it had not even half the toppings the one in the case had. This is very disappointing. We spent $35 tonight and weren’t happy with any of it. Better yet I went to contact them and I need my receipt number which when I asked for the receipt they were “out of paper” even though she printed the receipt for us to sign. This isn’t the first bad experience we have had here and it’s disappointing spending all this money and getting basically nothing out of it. We will not be returning and suggest you don’t go here either.
