A solid, moderate hike. Parked in the neighborhood and then began the trek upwards. It’s a lot of upward hiking basically the whole time, but it’s fairly gradual. Higher up you get, the more Rocky it gets. Great views, a decent amount of shade but still some pockets of strong sun in the early parts.
Moderate hike with around 800ft elevation gain. Your route will take you through an amazing evergreens forest, views of the city and you may see some cattle grazing at a distance. The hike was also full of flowers, butterflies, and overall great sights. Highly recommended.
Found this local gem when looking for a place to while a way time while family member was in a seminar. Was busy but no one was on top of you. Can hike or challenging running trail.
A nice Trailhead located in a residential neighborhood. There is plenty of street parking but no parking lot. The Trailhead launches you into an extensive trail system that provides you with multiple ways to customize your hike (easy to medium difficulty). I hiked 6 miles with 1,200 feet of elevation gain. I was able to take multiple loops, never hiking the same trail twice. The trails are well shaded and many of the trails are very wide, allowing for easy social distancing.
Nice moderate hike up through some varied terrain. There was even an area where the cows were free to roam as we hiked the path. There were many people walking and running through the trail. It's a nice place to meet for a post work 4 mile hike.
Street parking right next to the trail head was easily available on a summer Sunday afternoon. There is a broad network of trails with varying difficulty an terrain. I did the hike to Bear Peak. The trails on Shanahan Ridge are wide and relatively flat. Trails up to Bear Peak are steep and rocky. Overall, it's a fairly demanding hike of about 6 miles and 3000 vertical feet. The views you get from the top are very worth it though. I was disappointed to see many people not wearing masks. Probably 1/3 were not wearing masks.
One of my favorite hiking spots in Boulder! Great for dogs that have their voice and site tags, so can be off leash. Can be a variety of lengths and either a loop or lollipop.
Full disclosure, I am a trail snob. I'm sure this is a full 5-star trail for many. It's a 3.5 in my book. Objectively, at 5:30 PM on a pleasant late-summer Wednesday, we crossed paths with at least twenty off-leash dogs during a 60 minute out-and-back, and there are narrow areas of the trail. Between the hikers, walkers, runners, dogs, and narrow trail, I was unable to relax the way I hoped. This trail leads to the Mesa Trail, which is a predominantly 5-star trail in my book, so that's a benefit. Perhaps it would be less busy during business hours. I fully appreciate this is BOCO, but since the trail is both narrow (especially at the start) and busy, it's not where I'd go to enjoy a walk in nature or where I'd bring a guest.

This was an exciting hike with a nice surprise climb at the end to the top. It was a clear day so the views were stunning. Thunder was bouncing through the canyon creating a thrilling experience. Not muddy and was a tad busy but well worth a trip.
Intermediate level; for beginners hike may seem intimidating as the incline begins pretty quickly from the trailhead, but keep going! The views are totally worth it. We took the Chautauqua trail-Flatiron 2/3 hike up and the Bluebird-Baird trail down.
Best solo climb I've ever done. Up the standard route; down the south ramp to the top of the SW chimney; down that to the ground. Nothing harder than 5.5.
My friend and I jetted in from Fort Lauderdale, FL, with the mission to soak up the great outdoors in Colorado. Of all the hikes we tackled, the Walker Ranch Loop won our hearts. This 8.6-mile loop delivered everything we were looking for. The weath
Beautiful canyon hike - I got dropped off further up the canyon (by the intersection with Four Mile Rd) which I would recommend. Further up the canyon there was a lot less foot traffic, so it was nice hiking. The trail is really well maintained. Smoo
COWS. There a lot of them and you can see them really up close sometimes which is fun. As for the hike, it's nice and easy and pretty flat overall. Terrain is mostly golf-ball to baseball-sized rocks / gravel so it's fine for walking in sneakers, but

We held our work holiday party here and it was the perfect venue. Mike was really helpful in getting us booked in and Addison looked after us on the night. The ciders were brilliant, and we brought our own catering in for the event. We were 25 people
I went last year with my friend and have been going at least twice a week ever since. The classes are fun, always different, and the instructors are top notch. If you want to lift heavy, they have a good variety of weights to accomplish that goal. I
Itâs rare that we get pleasantly surprised, but our get away to relax and celebrate my birthday was made even more special our stay at the Bradley Boulder Inn. The staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel special. The room was spacious, comfor

Very cool collection of cars worth millions. Itâs a great place to see if you like cars or know anyone who does. Lots of history all in one place. Would love to come back soon.
Absolutely thrilled with Boulder Karate! My 5-year-old daughter adores every class and eagerly looks forward to her private lessons with Molly. Her enthusiasm for karate has skyrocketed since joining, and weâre delighted to see her excitement and d
