Wow! This hotel definitely had a total remodel of the rooms! To think I almost booked a room twice as expensive due to old poor reviews!! CLEAN fresh and new rooms. Great location and great price, nothing more I could ask for. Oh and an ATM in the lobby- super convenient. Hands down the cleanest room I have ever stayed at on the Jersey Shore.
Was super excited too get here and experience the vacation that my husband's family had in this hotel in the past and wasn't let down. We had a great time. The staff was very helpful from booking the room, to getting more towels when needed, to even helping us find a parking spot when it seemed there was none to be had. Definitely will be back. Only thing I would say is mark the parking spaces with the room number so each guest is guaranteed a spot and it matches the placard given upon arrival.
Our stay at Shalimar Resort began on June 21st with the expectation of enjoying a clean pool area, well-maintained amenities, and pleasant walks on the boardwalk. Unfortunately, it quickly turned into a nightmare.||On the second night, the fridge in our room stopped working. We chalked it up to being in a 2-star establishment. Things took a turn for the worse on the third day when the power went out. It took nearly an hour for the staff to restore it.||When the maintenance man arrived to check the fridge, he claimed it was working fine and blamed us for not knowing to unblock the air vent from the freezer. He suggested we should have inspected this ourselves upon arrival, which is an unreasonable expectation for guests.||Contrary to his explanation, fridges typically have temperature control dials in both the freezer and fridge compartments. When we pointed this out, Roberto, the maintenance man, became argumentative and insisted it was our fault. When I mentioned discussing the issue with management, he dismissively told us not to bother, saying, "Management won't do anything."||On the day of checkout, I spoke with Emma, the manager. She offered no apology and merely explained that the building's old wiring caused the issues, and there was nothing they could do. She also claimed she couldn't control what her staff said, essentially dismissing the entire incident.||Despite the cleanliness of the resort, the overall experience was so poor that a 1-star rating would be generous. I highly advise against staying at Shalimar Resort. The terrible management and lack of accountability made it the worst experience we've ever had. Avoid this place at all costs.
We just got back from a weekend stay at the Shalimar. Although the lobby was very welcoming, the front desk staff were rude, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. In addition, the rooms were dirty, dingy and unacceptable. It was so dirty and dusty that the guest who stayed in the room before us was able to write and leave a message on the artwork above the couch. Speaking of the couch, it was so worn and disgusting that we did not even bother opening it up to use the mattress because it looked gross. The Tv and the blinds in the bedroom were hanging cockeyed. The pool experience was awful. Guests were blasting music from multiple radios around the pool and BBQ area. In addition, people were using large flotation devices which took up a tremendous amount of room in the already extremely crowded pool. Lastly, people were vaping marijuana and drinking from glass bottles.
This was my first time staying at Shalimar, and i highly recommend everyone to stay here. The rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely nice and friendly. The pool and the pool area were kept clean and they cleaned the pool every night and morning. I stayed in the 1-bedroom suite which has a kitchen. Be aware that if you're cooking, the smoke detectors are really sensitive, and if one goes off, it will set off the whole hotel alarm system. But they do warn you about the sensitivity of smoke detectors in the room. I like that they have a small miniature golf course, cornhole game, a small gameroom, and 3 outside grills near the pool. Overall, i had a wonderful time and experience at Shalimar and definitely will be booking there again in the near future.
Was looking for a clean hotel, as I saw some hotels had reviews for not being clean. Shalimar was very clean. Lobby, elevator and hallways all smelt and looked very clean. The rooms were clean, and had enough space. Although we didn't go to the pool it looked like one of the nicer ones that I saw while in Wildwood. A little walk to to the boardwalk but didn't mind the exercise.
Emma is probably the worst interaction i have ever had with a manager in my life! She’s like a bratty teen who was placed in a position she has no business to be in. It’s sad because this hotel has Been our annual family vacation destination and unfortunately you couldn’t pay me to come back, not only is she rude and disrespectful, she waited untill i checked out to say she made notes in her computer to not re-book me for next summer.. when i asked her why? And what was wrong, she excused me of smoking in our room, and said that my relatives who didn’t even stay at the hotel, were loud and argumentative when asking to check available dates/rooms for next summer, my aunt’s husband is black and i believe she had a racial issue, also my husband who is Spanish was treated very poorly when also being questioned what is the reason he has a service dog, which is illegal to ask.. also the dog is a 3lb Maltese who is registered as a service dog and Emma said even though service dogs are allowed, you dog isn’t because we don’t have any visible needs to have the dog with us! I was in complete shock! I actually stood in front of her crying, because my husband is very sick with liver disease and when planning our vacation to Wildwood this year, i wasn’t even positive he would be here with us, and to be treated this way is disgusting and horrible.. we had the town hosue which costed about 600$ a night actually more, and I’m so sickened that we wait all year to come on a vacation and spend money at a hotel we look forward too every year to be mistreated and profiled
This place is awesome. We come here every year as a family tradition. It's one block away from the most beautiful beach. They are clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool is always crystal clear blue and warm. They have grills for cooking and is nearby 2 quick eats locations. The ice cream truck always stops by at night with fresh fruit in the morning. It is worth every penny to create a great family memory!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Blue Marlin. We were greeted warmly by Marion upon check-in and recommended dining in the area. The Motel was immaculately clean from the common areas, rooms and pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming each da

Fantastic place, with fantastic people. There was a mixup with our reservation where we didn't show up in the system, but David was more than gracious on working with us. After getting that first night figured out (at his own expense), he made sure a
We stayed in Compass Motel during Labor Day and have to say it was one of our best vacations. Rooms, pool, amenities even stairs were very clean. Proximity to the beach was great. Most of all - the atmosphere was the best. People were really having a
This is seriously amazing food! The most flavorful dining experience we had in Wildwood the week of our vacation there. From the chips and queso dip for starters, to the main course of the pork tacos and steak burrito, to the dessert of a fried and
Really tasty vegan (non-dairy) ice cream! They only have one flavor (vanilla) but it had a great creamy texture. They have several toppings that are vegan although only sprinkles can go on top of a cone (as opposed to a cup). The attached picture is
This is a beautiful well- designed venue. The sound system was excellent . The jazz trio was very good but the crowd was sparse. Traditional jazz is not popular with vacationers in Wildwood Crest.
Visited today, for the first time, to enjoy breakfast and had an excellent experience. The food was fantastic including blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberry and perfectly made French toast. The staff were wonderful too. Our waitress was excell
The food was great and so was the view from the porch! Georgeâs Place offered a really nice lunch and breakfast menu. The waffle was fantastic and the small salads that we ordered with our quesadillas and pita were amazing! The staff were friend
Park looks new and well maintained, and close to the beach. Itâs got swings, a huge playground area, a covered spot for shade, and two full basketball courts. Also it has bathrooms which is great for if you have young kids.
I had a great breakfast with my boyfriend. The food was yummy and there were no issues at all. If you go make sure to bring cash, although they have an ATM the machine works but it can give you certain issues with your withdrawal. The service was gre
Exceptionally clean and wonderful service. We stayed for two nights and in between dishes were cleaned, sheets and beds were made, and towels were replenished without even us asking. Added bonus, we arrived early and our rooms were ready. Liz, who
