My sons and I stopped in for much after an amazing time at Axis Golf down the road. We ordered a cowboy burger, which is beef patty, barbecue sauce, onion rings, bacon and cheddar cheese. I had the olive burger with bacon, both burgers came with pretzel buns and chips. My other son had the buffalo wings which were horrible, they were cooked all the way but obviously microwaved, my son ate the first one and said they are ok then the second one didn't taste so great. We told the waitress and she had it taken off, she was very friendly and attentive, she was the only waitress running the room and she was doing a great job.
They do an amazing job but often, as with most service establishments, they are often short staffed. Make sure you tip your wait staff as they are most often slammed and doing their best. They have great drinks and food selections. Their buffalo chicken dip is amazing along with their pepperoni rolls. They offer DJ Trivia on Mondays with prizes awarded to the top scoring teams (7:30-9)
Ok burgers. The atmosphere is nice. Good selection of beer on tap. But the Quality has gone down. Ruben wasn’t very good. Nothing seems homemade anymore.
So we're new to Shady's. We've been enjoying the pizza, so on 1/7/22 my family wanted to branch out and try their sandwiches. They were completely disappointed! $13 for a Reuben sandwich with two little slices of meat on them! It was basically a grilled cheese sandwich. Won't make that mistake again.
Had a regular sandwich made into a wrap and it was delicious! My friend enjoyed his sub. Our waitress was very sweet and took care of us well.
Talk about turning lemons into lemonade! I found myself at Shady’s for the first time for a first date, where I was apparently being stood up… Turns out, I got a pretty cool bar discovery out of it!! Rodney & his team were absolutely warm & welcoming to this first timer!! I ordered a beer to start and after a given amount of time I broke down and ordered the nachos. I loved that the lettuce & cheese were fresh! A rarity nowadays. The meat was seasoned beautifully! Thanks for being so wonderful to this girl!!
We enjoyed our first visit to Shady's. The food was delicious. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. 80's-themed music was playing, providing a comfortable atmosphere. Great selection of beverages and a tasting "plate" to help decide which beverage suits the taste buds best. I would have never guessed that the peanut butter brew would be as delicious as it was!
Food was fine. Nothing great but my issue was if you use a credit card you get a surprise fee ontop for using it that they don't tell you. Also, we were charged a band fee and I didn't even know a band even here. I had to ask what it was for. I was told they charge it when they are busy if a band is playing. That makes no sense. I don't plan on returning and figured I would warn people. This should be posted somewhere so customers can be aware of extra charges. I can currently count 7 empty tables inside. It definitely doesn't seem busy enough to add a fee. I could see that causing a decrease in server tips.
Before my visit here, I hadn't been to a Big Boy since the late '80's. This visit really took me back to when I went to Big Boy with my grandparents as a teenager. ð I came here this time with a dear friend of mine that I hadn't seen since 1987. T
