Shady Oaks Motel - Featured Reviews (189)
The owner has a heart of gold and cares about his tents and is aware of life's problem he does his best to lead and teach what he has learned over his life time I hope to see this plAce again soon as it is my home
Every thing worked as needed, bath room was spotless and like new. Beds were comfortable. Entrance door Locks well maintained. Parking lot was spacious and well lighted, newly sealed black top with bright painted parking guides.. all in all, it was like a new motel. And very reasonable rates too, try to find something as nice for less. Not possible because I tried. My hat is off this owner. Thank you sir.
This little hotel is a hidden diamond , surrounded by beautiful misty mountains.|Seen abundance of greenery with lots of Deers and Jack Rabbits! Amazing modern rooms with covered parking lot. Very friendly staff & my family had good time spending a couple of nights. There is 24 hour Dennys just 1.75 miles away and within a mile lot's of fast food restaurants nearby. Overall great experience and will recommend to my friends.||
So, if you're spoiled by high-end hotels, you might need some time to adjust. This is a small, locally owned hotel first and foremost. Easy check-in, easier checkout, and super wonderful people...They had just put in new carpet and were in the middle of repairing damage some dude had caused to a door to a room and a dresser that was now missing drawer. But the beds are thick and firm and sheets are soft and warm, the heating works like a charm, they have a fridge, microwave and water kettle, and the staff were very good about replacing the batteries in the remote when it was dead. It could use some modern updates when they get the funds, but was cozy, cheap and better than the Days Inn which had several months of bedbug reviews. No bugs in these beds.
We stayed one night on the last night of our two week trip from Washington through the Grand Canyon and back. Just what we were looking for! Quiet place with two comfortable beds. Clean room, good wi-fi and great TV with a station identifier card on the dresser. The remote had a guide feature. We paid $79 for three adults. They had no problem with our service dogs. The owner lady was super nice, friendly and recommended places to eat and visit. We went up the hwy to the Safeway and got our dinner from the deli there. That was great, cooked whole chicken for $5.00. We would absolutely stay there again. Nothing super fancy, just a good honest classic motel. Beautiful setting, the only drawback was the train that runs a couple blocks away and honks as they go through town. The parking is covered, and you park in front of your room. The grounds were very well maintained, a nice grassy area to sit outside and relax.
Horrible. Absolute filth. Was called said our rooms were ready. We get there and the place was filthy. Nothing done . Beds not made, garbage, floor, stains all over the floor. They came to service it, I still used my leathers to sleep on. There was no way I would crawl into that filth to sleep. Nothing been updated I think since the 70's. He comes the next morning says he's gonna shampoo the carpets. Dude it needs tore out and replaced, along with the rest of the filth. And for$120. I would not pay for that. & Didn't. My brother did. I was ready to leave. I will never go back. Sad it has potential, but with the owner. NOT!!!!!! Seemed like a nice guy but you obviously do not know what clean is.
Very nice! Management did so much to accommodate us after days on the road! Rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Cold AC, nice TV, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room, and the bathroom has a very nice, large, tiled shower in a roomy bathroom. Out of town a little, so it's nice and quiet. Other guests are quiet and considerate too! What a gem for the price!
Personally I rate it better and cleaner than any motel 6 I've ever seen!
Dirty rooms. Saw three roaches. An earwig was picked off my fella's leg. Ran out of hot water in the shower two consecutive days.
Absolutely stunning place. Very relaxing getaway. Complete spa like atmosphere, down to every detail: soft cozy bed with luxurious bedding, sanctuary of a shower, could easily accommodate a family of four at one time. Special touches with the bottle
The owners were so nice and funny! The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. The food was amazing!! So glad we found this place! What a gemâ¨ï¸â¦ï¸â¨ï¸
Was in the area on a roadtrip layover and saw great reviews for this place. I went here with my boyfriend and really enjoyed our experience. The food was amazing, we shared 3 of the social plates which was a really nice way to try a little bit of eve
Absolutely incredible ð
I just stopped in the other day for the first time, I'm mad it took me so long to go. I bought the burrito bowl, and it was AMAZING. The presentation and flavor were awesome. The customer service was very friendly and welco
