What a wonderful little place. Open everyday for breakfast lunch and dinner. I can only speak for breakfast as I come here everyday when I’m up on the river. Good hometown cooking and good hometown folks. Nearly Perfect service. The absolute best RIVER VIEW

The frog legs and the catfish sandwich were great, everything fresh. Service was quick and friendly. Nice river view to watch time flow by.

I've never been here before it's a quaint little place on the water. I sat outside on the deck. Friendly locals on the deck tell me that this place has been here for years. They have a small menu which I had the blackened shrimp wrap and macaroni salad. Delish.. The young lady was very helpful with me ordering and explaining the food. Always ask about the coleslaw. If you don't like pineapple in your slaw ask. Here they put it in. Not for me. Over all the food was delicious and I will be coming back. Thank you Shady Oak.

Interesting small spot, at end of dead end country street. Good meal- shrimp basket with delicious slaw and catfish with baked beans. Staying in the area and plan to return for breakfast in a couple days.

What a nice experience. Great food. So much food for the 3 of us and it was only 25 bucks. I couldn't finish my meal. We had an awesome waitress, and as usual, I asked what her favorite thing for breakfast was. And she didn't steer me wrong. So so good. Almost too much food. None of us went away hungry. We had a great time. My friend has been coming there for many year and seen many changes. The new bridge and construction has affected their business but they are not deterred and are there when needed. I know the next time I'm in the area, I will be back.

Ohhhhhh my goodness! What a great place to go! The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere was nice, comfortable, welcoming, the view while eating was so pretty. The food was AMAZING!! The price was AMAZINGLY affordable.... 3 dinners, 2 appetizers, a sweet tea, water with lemon and 4 draft beers was $55. My daughter had clam strips, baked beans (her choice for the side dish) hush puppies was amazing! I had scallops and shrimp wrapped in bacon, onion rings and potato salad (my 2 sides of choice) & hush puppies... Amazing!!! My Sweetie Pie had coconut shrimp with a pineapple sauce/glaze with hush puppies and he chose Cole slaw.... We all cleaned our plates! We started with gator Bites and fried jalapeno poppers stuffed with cream cheese.... I've never had gator anything..... I'm a fan now! Super delicious!! If you have the opportunity to go here DO IT! It's worth the try.

Pulled up to the dock and tied off. Dock decking was pretty slippery covered in some moss. A lot of uneven boards. The outside deck didn't look inviting at all to me. Inside dinning area was nicer on cool on a hot day. Server was very friendly. Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, Catfish Sandwich and Conch Fritters. It was around 11:30am and not very busy. The food came out in a decent time hot. Food was good. The burger was juicy and the vegetables were fresh. The fries were okay, probably could have been cooked a little longer. The sweet potato fries were great. Conch fritters were a bit greasy but good. The catfish sandwich was also good. The bathroom was a huge turn off. It wasn't very clean and it was early in the day.

I can't say enough about how good the food, beer, prices and service is. It is not the nicest looking restaurant by far but it is located on the river with indoor and outdoor seating. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good seafood dinner. They also have a great burger and fried mushrooms.
