I’ve traveled and trained at a lot of places over the years and if you are going through or near Brownwood, you need to make the time to train with Wes. If you live near Brownwood, you should definitely train at this location. Wes has a very practical and profound outlook on Brazilian jiujitsu. I love Shadowhouse South Jiu Jitsu, not only because they have amazing coaches, but also because they treat you like family. All of the members and coaches look out for one another and help to motivate each other. The classes are great quality, a lot of fun, and definitely a great work out. Coach Wes is very thorough in his training and he is always accommodating to the students’ skill level and methods of learning! I highly recommend everyone to come here!

If you (or your children) are thinking about joining Jiu Jitsu, ShadowHouse South is a must!!! While on vacation and traveling to Brownwood, my son did not want to miss his normal training days as he attends a gym in San Antonio. I contacted Wes and his staff and they welcomed him with open arms and allowed him (my son) to train with them while on vacation. Having been to other gyms to let him train, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed if you give ShadowHouse South a try! I was blown away by the level of training and knowledge they are providing there. I highly recommend this place and my son is already asking if he can visit there again during our next vacation lol.

A gym that not only teaches jujitsu, but self confidence, and discipline as well. I have two girls an 11 and 5 yr old, and they absolutely love it. Not only did my girls feel welcomed, but as parents we did to. Very awesome and friendly coaches.Coach Wes and Coach Sarah are willing to communicate with parents to speak on a child progress or also areas to be worked on.

I was only able to stop by a few times but was really impressed with the talent level and environment that Coach Wes has put together at ShadowHouse! I’ve been training for well over a decade and highly recommend this place to jiu jitsu players no matter their skill level. It’s also a great place to learn practical self defense for those interested in something besides sport jiu jitsu. Great gym, great people.

I travel for work and try to look for great gyms to train at. If your in the Brownwood TX area --- Look no further---- Immediately you feel the sense of family and that you belong. The environment is so welcoming by the Instructors and Students!! They spend ample time making sure you understand the techniques and applications. I struggled with the technique and without missing a beat they were there helping.I compete a lot and the gym has a great mix of competitive athletes and recreational students. I highly recommend checking them out.

My family and I have been training at ShadowHouse for a year and a half and we love it! Coach Wes and Coach Sarah are both very patient and intentional when teaching technique and application. They are able to accommodate with different body types and physical limitations/strengths. We love it here and cannot recommend it enough!
