Excellent spot! The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything is very well maintained and clean. Offer vertical and horizontal beds of varying levels, as well as spray tans. Highly recommend!

I haven’t tanned in decades. Kind of a weird layout but nice to see they have lay down tanning beds as well as the other kinds and spray. I just wanted a little seasonal therapy. The prices were surprisingly reasonable and the man who explained them was patience and nice. It’s not a fancy place but as seldom as I tan, I didn’t want to pay the fancy prices. It’s clean and well organized. That’s all I need.
Follow up: well it seems to be getting upgraded now.
Today was my first day at Shades of Darkness. The owner Rob helped me find what bed and lotion works best for me, he was super informative and helpful. My level 3 bed was spacious, well ventilated (iv been in beds with broken fans at other facilities and it was miserable) and very clean. I'm excited to come back and get my skin tanned cleaned up for the winter.
I love coming here. It’s always clean, nice employees, great deals on certain days, plus signing up for their text msg offers is definitely worth it
It was my first time ever in a tanning salon and the guy working made me feel super comfortable and secure in my choices and experience! It was busy but the wait wasn’t bad at all. Everyone was talking and a few good laughs happened so the environment is super chill. Will definitely be back!

I am a new customer from Orland Pk. I was treated so very well, even though I came in to do a stand up tan 20 min before closing on a Sunday afternoon. I was so appreciative, since I was going on a trip in 2 days.
I believe they have a sign posted that they take their last tan 20 or 25 minutes before close, plus I had to fill out all the paperwork for a new customer.
Everything was very clean, all bulbs were working and Hot!
Prices were great compared to LA Tan. LA Tan's pricing has gone up and up. Even with LaAonline "Deals", prices are high, and quality and customer service have gone down. Everytime at LA tan ( 94th ave), the beds have multiple bulbs burnt out! Shades of Darkness' customer service was 10/10!! Will definitely be back😉
