Severance Music Center - Featured Reviews (2072)
We had a lovely ground floor view near the harpist for this year's last Christmas Concert of the season. To be honest, you cannot put a review on the world's finest orchestra - their ability to bring joy, peace, and wonder no matter what composers cross their stands is truly immaculate, and if you haven't had a chance to listen to them solo or in conjunction with one of the many choral groups that share the stage, you are truly missing out. Cheers to 2023 and looking forward to an amazing 2024 season!
It was an amazing experience witnessing Cleveland’s own orchestra center. Its majestic and in all ways magical. Fortunately, I am so close that I have been to the center multiple times and everytime I come back with a sense of awe :)
We received tickets to go see Hannigan conduct. We went in blind not really knowing the pieces that were going to be played. As we listened we read the program to gain a bigger understanding of the meaning behind each piece and gained a greater appreciation to each piece. Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful venue and spectacular orchestra. This is a must try even if you're not an avid classical listener. An experience everyone should try once.
We saw the famous Yoyo Ma. It was an amazing performance!
Went to see my grandson's school band (Perry High School in Lake County) play in the 20th annual Northeast Ohio band invitational. Not only did Perry rock, but Severance Hall is absolutely spectacular. The architecture is stunning, parking was easy to access and the employees there were very polite, knowledgeable and accommodating. We sat upstairs and could see and hear everything perfectly.
The Cleveland Orchestra Christmas Concert was amazing! The Orchestra and the chorus were just fabulous! The conductor (I believe his name was Bert Mitchell) was passionate, humorous, and interacted with the audience a great deal. That made the program even better. And to top it off, their guest singer, Capathia Jenkins, was out of this world!!! Beautiful venue, great music, all made for a wonderful evening!
The Sacred Veil was outstanding! The facilities were first class and parking with the advanced pass was super easy. I hope we go back soon!
Wonderful choir and orchestra in a beautiful classic symphony house. We attended the opening night of the Christmas program and it was great. A very interesting mix of the classics with some lesser known pieces and some new twists thrown in. The conductor was entertaining and funny without taking himself too seriously. You get the feeling he’s not the type that insists you call him “Maestro” if you were to bump into him on the street. The staff is well trained and friendly and the facilities are well kept. It feels classic and nostalgic without being run down. We are looking forward to attending many more concerts here in the future.

The Bake Shop, a.k.a. the Roaming Biscuit, is an excellent takeout breakfast spot with a great vibe. Although primarily takeout, there is a small wood paneled room next to the counter area with a scattering of tables and chairs where you can enjoy yo
