This place was good. As someone who is not particularly motivated by meat, I found the options to be varied and good nods to California cuisine. I ordered fish and it was quite good! The halibut was cooked well and was juicy. The star of the dish was the ravioli, though. I would here constantly if they served big bowls of this Ravioli. Truly excellent. Maybe they have a future as a pasta spot? I think there could have been some restraint in the presentation of the food. A little less garnish, a little less sauce, a few less ingredients. I think if the chef were to pull back a bit and really focus on the flavors of the ingredients, it could be a truly excellent establishment. Additionally, a few of the items served in bowls came out with food dripping down the sides. At the price point, everything should be pristine. It takes only a little bit of care to ensure a seamless presentation. It's definitely something that should be addressed by the kitchen. The service was good, if a little too good at times, with very eager waiters. I figure in this area people prefer a more hands-on experience whereas I prefer a more hands-off experience. Just a personal preference. They were all very kind and great at their jobs. The atmosphere is somehow lacking, despite the beautiful building. Though I don't think I will ever eat here again personally, it's a good spot worth the stop if you're into this type of food.

Wow! The place was amazing and everything was delicious. We had a reservation for a party of 3 but was about 10 minutes late so I was nervous. We encountered no problems, they smiled and seated us promptly. The decor inside is beautiful with large "splash" paintings on the walls. We sat on the outside patio. All of the service was friendly and prompt. I had the nonalcoholic mango mule, which was very good. Complimentary gazpacho came to the table which was a fun party in your mouth. Ordered a calamari appetizer. It was tasty. One friend ordered the rack of lamb, another ordered the Chilean sea bass, and I ordered the ribeye with broccolini. Everything was delicious. We ended with the goat cheese bingets and the chocolate terrine. The whole evening was delightful and since it was my birthday, they surprised me with a sparkler in my terrine. The night was lovely!

This restaurant left me impressed. The place was clean and sophisticated, creating a pleasant ambiance. The food was delicious, and the service provided by our server, Eric, was outstanding. We ordered the "Niman Ranch rack of lamb" and the "Pinot Noir braised short ribs", both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For dessert we enjoyed crème brûlée. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the cooking were evident in every detail. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

I mean this is a great restaurant and the food is very well presented. I really love the atmosphere and the service is great. The food though, are all a bit too salty. Especially with no bread it was a bit too flavourful for me - the onion soup, the lamp and the duck, all a bit too salty.

I’m going to write this review because I care about this place as an institution because among my circles here in town, that’s how it’s regarded. First, the actual restaurant floor. Too loud, the music is too loud and steals away from the experience. I’m at a restaurant not a disco, please make that experience come to life. The food was decent but it was not special, specially considering the price. Our medium well done ribeye was well done. Unacceptable to be honest. The wine list is extensive and I appreciate that. However, for the price and prestige that this place holds an updated list is the bare minimum. If a bottle isn’t available, print a new menu for the night. Overall, disappointing. This was a place I had looked forward to and it failed. There are better options in Carmel and in Monterey. I won’t list places out of respect for the staff and the owners but as a customer you’ll find them. For $500, I expected more — a lot more.

The lamb chops and bone in ribeye steaks are very good. Very tender and flavorful. I give them five star just for that. The onion soup is in a bitters side, and the crab cake I didn’t care for it.

Top notch Filet Mignon! Probably the best we ever had and we've eaten at the best restaurants in most cities. The food here is great quality. We ordered a filet mignon, bone-in ribeye, brussel sprouts, wine, and an apple cinnamon bread pudding. Let's get straight to the point, the filet mignon is much better than the ribeye, so if you love a nice steak and don't require the fat of the ribeye then go with the filet. Extremely nice char! Also, the steaks are seasoned very nice with salt and pepper and come with a choice of 6 different sauces. We sat inside and outdoor is available. It was very cold inside! Not sure why they don't want the customers more comfortable. Heat lamps are used for the outdoor seating. Service was slightly less attentive than expected at a place with the price point as this and with a mandatory 20% tip included on the bill. The wait staff should probably receive a little education on the restaurant's cooking styles and steak doneness levels. The bathroom was clean and had very nice hand towels. Overall a good experience except for the cold building.

This was our last night in Carmel and our daughter recommended Seventh and Dolores (a Michelin Rated Restaurant). All I can say is WOW! We sat outside and it was perfect because they have heaters. Fantastic service, food, atmosphere, bartender, etc. See pictures as it is hard to explain.

My favorite beach on the California coast! I prefer it in the winter when it's less crowded. There's always, always, people on it though. Beautiful waves, soft sand, lots of space to walk at low tide. It's a great place to bring your dog but be aware
