Serenity Inn Newport sits quietly tucked away in one of Newport, Rhode Island's most historic neighborhoods, amid two and three-century-old homes. It is quintessential Newport. Framed by 27 distinctive round-top windows, the elegant Victorian house was built in 1855 on the first gas-lit street in America. Formerly known as the Adele Turner Inn, this property is also on the National Historic Register.
We loved our stay at Serenity Inn! Such an ideal location. We were able to walk to dinner both nights and also had the free trolley stop a couple blocks away to go to the mansions. We had breakfast both mornings and it surpassed our expectations! Our room was quiet, spacious and clean! We would highly recommend staying at the Serenity Inn!
The Serenity Inn checked all the boxes for my wife and I when we visited Newport to attend the annual Jazz Festival. Their location was perfect - close to the wharfs' shops and restaurants, with a pleasant stroll along the harbor to the ferry and water taxis. In the opposite direction - a short walk to Bellevue Ave, with access to more conveniences and the free Newport trolley. The accommodations were very comfortable and the B&B staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Every breakfast was tasty, unique and well presented. The adjacent patio provided a pleasant place to start the day with morning coffee, or end it with a glass of wine. All in all, the Serenity Inn provided an excellent place from which to enjoy all that Newport has to offer.
Very centrally located. Breakfast everyday was very tasty. The inn keeper that was there when we arrived for our stay on 8/30/24 was very friendly/professional and gave great local recommendations for coffee and lunch/brunch options. Services to your room can be completed daily like a hotel. Overall our stay was great.
We had a lovely two night stay at Serenity Inn. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast was great. The house and grounds are just beautiful! Super convenient location. Really top notch all around! My only complaint was our particual room (Room 4). it HAS to be the smallest room in the house. And for some reason it utterly lacks any design charm. We saw other rooms becuase doors were open for cleaning service, and those rooms definitely were well decorated and more what I would expect for a house of this beauty. But OUR room was cramped, and the design was no better than a Motel 6. Just being honest! So definitely stay at this inn, but try not to go into Room 4, or any other such tiny room (I don't know if others like that exist in the building). My suggestion to the management is to at least TRY to make this shoebox room feel charming. It truly is an uninspired room
The Serenity Inn was everything beyond perfect! It was very cozy, quaint, and private as well as a great location within walking distance to the town of Newport...to be able to get to all the sights and restaurants in minutes on foot because there is parking at the Inn. (A huge plus!) Our host, Jennifer, was very kind, informative, and welcoming. We truly valued the hospitality she showed us during our stay. We couldn't have found a more relaxing place to stay while in Newport. We highly recommend The Serenity Inn without a doubt!
The Serenity Inn was truly a gem in Newport with a staff that made us feel so welcome. The inn is well-located to easily walk 2 blocks to the summer hussle of Newport and our rooms were clean, quiet and beautiful. There was also a small patio with chairs and sofas to enjoy the outside. Their breakfasts were the yummiest that we have had in a very long time! Enjoy your stay at Serenity Inn, we did!
We LOVED our stay at Serenity Inn. My fiancé and I have been to Newport plenty of times, but had never heard of this place until now. It is in a perfect location that is walking distance to Thames, provides a delicious complimentary breakfast in the morning, and is very modern and clean. I typically prefer a hotel over a B&B but this one is the perfect combination of upscale, yet homey and quintessential. I also really appreciate that the pricing is more reasonable. Lately, Newport hotel pricing is absolutely outrageous for the level of value you're getting. We have a wedding coming up in Newport in a couple weeks and decided to stay here instead of our previous arrangements. Can't wait to come back :)
Very convenient to downtown, just a short walk down the hill or up to Bellevue. Left the car parked during our stay. Gourmet quality breakfast and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Only wish we had a small fridge in the room but no other comments as the room was very comfortable and had a great view. highly recommend
