Serendipity Bed & Breakfast - Featured Reviews (22)
Serendipity, yes they nailed it with the name. The atomosphere of the home was of an early 1900s home. It was most beautiful and inviting. Bill & Joann are awesome hosts. They greeted us at the door when we arrived, made sure we knew where everything was, made restaurant recommendations, and made sure they were there to wish us a safe journey home.
I have wanted to stay at here ever since I was a student at the college and am glad that I had the opportunity to stay here. I loved it here and it enhanced my trip back to Oswego. The house and room was nice and cozy. Bill and Joann are the greatest hosts and I look forward to staying here again.
We were so happy to be able to stay at Serendipity B&B again on our first trip back to Oswego since the pandemic! We have stayed there before with current owners Bill & Joann, and with previous owners, too. It's a pleasure to spend time in this beautiful old house filled with interesting antiques. We chose the 30's Room, which has a queen-size bed, AC, cable TV, and an en suite bathroom, but still retains its period charm. Bill & Joann are gracious hosts. They went out of their way to be sure we were comfortable, and we enjoyed our conversations with them. Joann is a great cook & baker, and the breakfasts were terrific! We were there for four nights, and were served four different and delicious meals, each of which made us feel very pampered. Since I don't eat pork, I really appreciated Joann preparing turkey sausage or bacon just for me, and pork sausage or bacon for my husband. Two thumbs way up for Serendipity!
The Serendipity B&B is a treasure! We were traveling across NY and needed a spot in the middle to break the trip but would certainly come back for one of the town festivals. The innkeepers we very welcoming and took our comfort very seriously. Roomy bathroom w plenty of counter space, great towels and sheets, comfy bed. Great coffee and tasty continental breakfast. A beautiful spot and don’t forget to try Bev’s Dairy Treats on the shore of Lake Ontario.
Bill and Joann are attentive, friendly, and welcoming hosts. The house and property is beautiful and the rooms are exceptionally clean and pleasant. Joann is a wonderful baker and it was so nice for her to leave a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for me at night and delicious citrus poppyseed bread for breakfast! I loved being greeted by them and enjoyed the coversations we shared. They are awesome hosts and really went above and beyond to make me feel at home at Serendipity. Thank you!
We were looking for a relaxing, rejuvenating night to celebrate my birthday, and this place did not disappoint! The beautiful sitting room with fireplace, the lovely antiques and decor (it was near Christmas), and of course the excellent food all contributed to the best birthday experience I've ever had. Our time spent with Bill and Joann was icing on the cake, as they are so easy to visit with and made us feel so welcome. We would highly recommend Serendipity B & B!
My fiancé and I stayed here for a couple of nights and it was amazing. We were greeted by the friendly and warm owners then went to our beautiful room. We stayed in the oak room and it is beautiful and charming. If you like vintage you will love it here. There are beautiful pieces everywhere you look. Our room was nice and quite and we woke up to hot coffee and some breakfast. This is my new favorite place to stay hands down!
Great experience, Joann(host) absolutely crushes the breakfast if you’re staying for the B&B experience! Very cozy stay with so much character to each room and overall house! Definitely recommend

So many choices! Lots of different flavors of both regular ice cream and soft serve. Lots of different kinds of sundaes too. All reasonably priced! We go every time we're in town.
It deserves 5 stars all day, all morning, and I wish they were open for dinner too! Such a great restaurant with breakfast that is sure to fill you up on a very cheap budget. The cinnamon raisin toast is amazing. And the cooks do such a good job at s
