The food was amazing! I am a Vegan and they customized my order. Marcus the server was amazing! He was attentive to what I needed and was very professional! I will continue coming back! Also they make their tortillas fresh and right there! You can watch the ladies as they make it for you! Very impressive!

I haven’t been here since 2004. The atmosphere, waiter and food were on point. My wife had the Enchiladas Suizas an I the two item combo (tamale & chicken enchilada). I haven’t been anywhere here in Bakersfield that knows how to make red and green sauce the way they do. It absolutely makes the meal unforgettable. The waiter was very attentive and came by 5 times to check on us. I asked him for some sliced lemon right after he took down a big order from another table. Just when I thought he forgot he brought it. The guy knows his job. The only thing that put a bad taste in our mouth was the individual that greeted us at the door. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or she is just a angry individual. We walked in and the first thing I noticed was an annoyed look on her face followed by “how many”. Not even a hello. When she showed us to the table she gave us one menu for our table. I’m not sure if anyone finds it difficult to figure out what you want while the next person is waiting on you to see the menu. She didn’t ask if we wanted drinks just walked off. I’m not going to take down a star for this action because clearly this just a bad choice in hiring. So Patty if you read this…if you don’t like were you are working, there are many other places out there you can work where you don’t have to interact with people. Your definitely not representing Senor Pepe’s and its mission to bring quality in the restaurant business.

Great place that’s a little hidden but good and service is really great. Nice atmosphere as well and of course food is great too. One of the better if not best nice Mexican restaurants in the Rosedale area.

Oh my goodness. We had a very large surprise birthday party in this restaurant that accommodated 100 people. The service was wonderful, catering gal in charge was Lidia, then came Eddie, then wonderful staff including the newest addition to their staff, I believe Jaden who was exceptional, and everyone else. They accommodated all our needs, the food was scrumptious, Cheese Enchiladas, Chile Colorado and my very favorite Chicken Culiacan, of course rice, beans, salad, chips and salsa, and we could not have asked for a better place. I cannot wait to return. Thanks, Lidia, for a job very well done!

We usually do a yearly family dinner here that is about 20 or so people. They have plenty of space to seat all of us. Even there last time when they lost our reservation they had no trouble seating us right away. The restaurant was busy and that didn't pose an issue. The food is always great here (which is why we go here when I'm in town). The only negative I have to say is the pricing is higher than I'm used to.

Nothing I’ve tried here is very flavorful, everything is pretty bland. Bakersfield has some amazing Mexican food and this can’t even compete in flavor. Reminds me of Mexican food I’ve tried in other states that aren’t known for their Mexican food. The Chile verde tasted like cumin and nothing else. Steak fajitas were just okay and the cheese enchilada had an odd color for enchilada sauce and tasted like soggy, flavorless cheese.
