- Great platanos; nachos were good (the guac could be better/real); and sampler was good too.
- Only constructive criticism would be to liven up the inside interior (outside of a wall painting and angel-wings banner, it's rather plain and boring).
- Definitely worth a visit. My Dominican lady loved it and felt it was authentic (mofongo) as you can get out here on the West Coast.
Old school spot, delicious food. Nice service. They have Mexican and puerto rican food. Either way you go, the food is delicious.
I ordered the Mofongo Relleno for the first time and it was very delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be going back to try other dishes.
Food was great tasting. The arroz con gandules was a bit dry/older than the white rice w/beans. Pernil is done a bit different. Would suggest the beef stew. Do note, they close early for dinner time .
When I'm craving Spanish Caribbean food, I like coming here with my dad. He always gets whatever is Mexican cuisine and I always go for the PR cuisine lol. I had the chicken fricassee with riced mixed with pigeon peas (arroz con gandules), which is reminiscent of Filipino apritada without the carrots. In fact, Spanish Caribbean food is very similar to Filipino cuisine because they share the Spanish sazon, as well as the islander vibe of root veggies, bananas, and rice. I enjoyed my meal, as well as the appetizer sampler I went home with. It satisfied my Dominican bff's homesickness for their native food, at least a little bit. Oh and as much as I heard negative things about bacalao, we got the bacalaitos and it was not at all fishy tasting. I will continue to come back here as long as Senor Big Ed continues to serve up the yum yum maduros and tostones!
Ordered for delivery. The wet chicken burrito with green sauce. What I got was a rice wet red burrito with "find the chicken if you can." Disgusting. What is happening? This place used to be awesome..
I am not from this area I am here from Texas on a job, I am staying in Torrance. I drove 33 minutes to come here and taste their food. Let me tell you it was definitely worth the drive. The food was delicious and the service will great and Attentive. I definitely will come again when I come back.
We came for Puerto Rican food specifically. The service was good but the food missed the mark. The arroz con gandules was dry and lacked sazón. I was really looking forward to it so I was disappointed. The other items and dishes we ordered were just ok.
Great affordable cleaner food compare to places around the school. It's around 10-15 bucks depends what you get, only thing I order here is either steak/chicken with steam veggies and rice or the special with shrimp and spicy pork with steam veggie a
I had the most amazing time here! The lavender tea was perfect and the scone was like no other scone I had before. The shop has additional items you can purchase.
I love the plants, and flower shop inside.

After looking at the reviews, I have decided to bike to this Cafe spot one early Friday morning.
The place opens early (5AM-3PM, 6AM-1PM in Sundays) for people to drop in and jump start their day with coffee, sandwiches, and pastries.

A very small, unassuming place.
However, the food, the portions, and the presentation, were magnificent!
I couldn't finish all that I was served.
It brought a smile to my face, when I saw the heart-shaped rice! ð
I loved this special touch!
