I attended a 5 part virtual Microsoft Excel training with Sandie at Senior Net in January 2021. Sandie was professional, prepared, knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging. She sent detailed manuals to follow along with during the training and walked us through worksheets in real time. As a result of Sandie and her training- I have been feeling more confident in using excel and have been able to be more efficient in data analysis. We reference her manuals often and even include when training new staff. Thank you Sandie for your time and effort!

SeniorNet at FSL transformed my experience of Covid by affording me the opportunity to be instructed by other seniors about how to use technology, like Zoom, to navigate my way through. I have availed myself of both group sessions and one-on-one instruction (superb and offered at a very reasonable rate). As a former teacher I feel confident in saying that the instructors were universally well-prepared and exceptionally patient in answering questions and re-explaining things. "Students" were coming to these classes with widely varying levels of tech skill or lack thereof. In addition, the hand-outs were of high quality, suggesting to me that careful thought had been expended to custom-create them. I highly recommend SeniorNet at FSL and want to thank everyone involved in this organization for their hard work and dedication. Peer-to-peer learning has a lot to recommend it!

Having recently retired I was looking for volunteer opportunities so I attended a seminar hosted by SeniorNet at my local library. I was very impressed so I enrolled in a class at their learning center. The instructor was very knowledgeable. The course included a great deal of hands-on exercises with coaches available to help when students got stuck. This is a very effective way of teaching. I ended up becoming a volunteer and I recommend SeniorNet without reservation.

I discovered SeniorNet a few years ago through a program on how to use an iPad at my local public library. This amazing group of volunteers can talk computers and technology in ways that this middle-aged learner can understand. I have since attended quite a few of their webinars - the latest was on how to use "the cloud" - and have enjoyed the clarity of the presentations, the expertise of the instructors, and the encouraging atmosphere of the classes. They take the stress and confusion out of technology!

I've been a volunteer at SeniorNet (an all volunteer program of Family Services League) for over 10 years. We offer many technological courses to seniors on Long Island. What has impressed me most by our association is the quality, caring and depth of knowledge and talent of the many people who work on our various programs. If you're looking to expand your computer knowledge, either at instructional or advanced levels, you should give SeniorNet a try.

SeniorNetLI is a fantastic organization- Seniors helping Seniors bridge the digital divide with Zoom and in-person classes. These all-volunteer instructors are exceptional in their specialized areas across all platforms and devices. What a Win-Win for all involved!

I have been a volunteer at SeniorNet for a little over two years. During that time, I have seen first hand the skill and dedication of the volunteers. Everyone works very hard to help the seniors that join our classes master the tasks they need to become more technologically proficient. It is a wonderful organization and one I'm proud to be a part of.

I have tried unsuccessfully to borrow library books on my Kindle. Sandie at Senior Net showed me how to do it quickly and easily. Both the classes and the private lessons at Senior Net are well presented and easy to understand. Thank you Senior Net.
