A wonderful museum with lots to offer in historical artifacts. Many lessons learned are beautifully presented to help explain the gift to humanity known as the Seminole Nation. It was and honor an a privilege to be warmly welcomed within the walls of this museum.
Mvto! It's so meaningful to attend this museum. We came from Washington state so I could bring my eldest son. We were a little disappointed that some of the museum was closed down but took our time exploring the rest. I hadn't been back in 9 years so it was neat to see the new exhibits and video additions. So greatful for this place and for preserving our legacy 🙏🏽
Enjoyed our trip here. Very informative. Great gift shop.
Small museum but big on information. They had an in depth exhibit on one of the older schools that was established for Native children. Enjoyed my visit.
A must-see museum trip. Only an hour from oklahoma city ok. The museum runs on a donation box. The girft shop is also a wonderful authentic Seminole purchasing. The Ribbon skirts and Ribbon baby outfits are a must to purchase - Peggy T. Is the artist in making these clothes.
OK what can I say about this Museum! I do want to be respectful at the same time. I want to be completely honest! Well 1st it really doesn't tell the story of the real Indigenous peoples of wewoka which is a town in Oklahoma. And it seems like they glorified the 3 men that killed a slave, if you're not from Oklahoma you should mostdefinitely should come take a trip here because it has a lot of history and historical place, Is fascinating !!♡ As a child I had a lot of fun here, because at that time it was a lot to do but little to do, as i have lots of friends here too.
This little museum in the middle of America is just as beautiful as any found in a big city. The staff is friendly and it costs a donation. The exhibits are changed a few times a year and so beautiful! It does not just cover Seminole Indians and is independent organization not belonging to the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
Visited recently to purchase sorghum for my sister. WOW!!!! From the sidewalk and throughout the building it is such a beautiful place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful representation of Seminole Nation culture and heritage. Richard Ellwanger is doing a great job in promoting and expanding this Museum.
