Selva Negra is currently one of my favorite restaurants in Miami, the Nicaraguan style dishes from steaks to seafood are exquisite and delicious. Here, you will encounter rich flavors, with a variety of spices and fascinating sauces. Although the options of sides are underwhelming, all of the main courses I’ve tried are spectacular. They prepared one of the best mushroom sauces on a grilled steak I’ve had, and I must recommend the shrimp stuffed plantains for an appetizer. Every dish has a notable amount of care that went into the cooking and preparation, and for the price, you can’t beat the large portions. All the staff are kind and the atmosphere is pleasantly casual, come hungry and leave happy.

It was my first time in here and I loved it.. the waitress was so nice and sweet, Frederick the manager is awesome, very polite and helpful, he noticed it was my birthday and he brought a piece of cake for me and the whole crew sang HB for me.. I’ll definitely come back

A typical Latin restaurant that serves Nicaraguan food, this establishment surprised me. The food was very good and speed was also quick as well. There's many Nicaraguan restaurants, especially in Miami, but this was surprisingly one of the better ones I've tried so far. I look forward to returning with my family

This is a la carte menu, with a very extensive options, food was good but the tortillas dough was not cooked well the service was okay and when paying check your bill because tips is automatically included, we were three people in our party and they charged us 15% tip in the bill.

You won't leave this place feeling hungry, food is really good, portions are big and prices are fair.

I would like to give 4 stars but I’ll explain what it is 3. We had a family lunch in a busy Sunday afternoon. Table of 7. We ordered several dishes, and 6 pitchers of sangria. The service needs some attention. Our sever was friendly but not attentive. We often couldn’t find her so we had to ask 3 other servers walking around for food, water, napkins, etc. the food was almost perfect. All meat was cooked properly and seasoned well. The only issue was the ceviche which lacked acidity and salt. It was bland, tasted like absolutely nothing. I would still recommend Selva Negra for Greta meats and sides, just don’t order ceviche.

The food was ok I just wished the food was a little warmer than what I got it. Once I added the condiments my food got colder because the condiments were cold I wish restaurants start noticing that about their condiments and start giving warmer condiments instead. My meal was about $13 and I got a good portion. I bought two orders to eat there and one order to go and I payed about $40. The place looks ok nothing super fancy or anything but good area I went just because someone I know works down the street and we wanted something quick to eat. I recommend it to stop by and try it at least once if you want some Nicaraguan food in Miami.

I have to admit that the food was incredible, there is no denying to that. Nevertheless the food was served almost cold, which substracted a lot from the overall experience in the restaurant. The music was also unnecessarily loud and it was just not pleasant at all.
