*Best tuna melt and cold brew tea. Service is friendly and all of our meals were hot and delicious. Made to order. You cant ever go wrong stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a piece of cake. Delicious *This dinner has been around for many years. Good menu, great service. Waitress, pretty, friendly, suggestive and attentive to our needs. A+ she came around to top off my coffee. Cook wore a mask while cooking. I can really appreciate this, wish more places would do the same. We ordered Florentine omelet, pancakes, bacon, ham, home fries with onions, peppers, eggs over easy, rye and wheat toast. Food was cooked to perfection. It's like eating home cooked food without having to cook or clean. Dinners hear are also reasonably priced, delicious and they have a great selection of menu items.
Seaport Diner in Elizabeth, located conveniently near Newark airport amidst the bustle of trucking companies, offers a classic diner experience with its vintage ambiance. Visiting on a Tuesday morning around 10:00 am with two friends, we found ample parking in the spacious lot, which was a plus. Despite the occasional rumble of passing trucks, the noise wasn't too bothersome within the diner. The interior exudes a charmingly old-fashioned vibe, complete with booths and classic red stools, providing abundant seating for guests. The food, while not exceptional, was decent and satisfying. What stood out was the reasonable pricing; a meal for three came to just over $50, making it a budget-friendly choice. The service was a highlight - the staff was welcoming, accommodating, and our orders arrived promptly. Overall, the Seaport Diner provided a comfortable environment to enjoy a meal with friends. While the food wasn't extraordinary, the friendly service and nostalgic ambiance made for an enjoyable experience.
First time visiting the US and this diner looked exactly like in the movies. Most of their customers are locals/regulars. Didn’t expect to be wowed because they offer a pretty typical menu and it was just a tiny diner on a quiet road, but the food was surprisingly so good. Bacon was crisp like it should be, sausage patty was juicy and nicely charred on the grill, the waffle is crisp on the outside and fluffy inside with a tinge of saltiness that complements the maple syrup. Omelette and home fries, simply comfort food. Service was warm and helpful. One of the most memorable meals we had.
Got stuck at Newark Airport after 9 hr flight from Rome going home to Houston. Hadn't slept in 35 hrs and need a good ole American breakfast as we will be stuck here another day. Not to mention just needed out of the airport for a bit. WOW!!!! Did we ever pick the right spot! Staff was so sympathetic to our situation and just as friendly as could be!!! Food was exactly what the doctor ordered. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!!
This diner might look unassuming, but the food was delicious and service was great. We had a great time here and will be back again.
I went around 3:30pm on a Tuesday. The place had about 4 customers at a time coming in and out not too busy. Place can sit about 40ish people max. Big parking lot to fit truckers. The diner is surrounded by trucking companies as it’s next to the Elizabeth port and on industrial road leading to the NJ turnpike. You’ll spend between $10-$20 per person. Atmosphere felt like an old diner with stools with red top for the counter and booths with some type of vinyl material on the table. It felt like a trucker diner. I ordered a Philly steak omelette with home fries it was pretty good no complaints. Service was alright nothing really stood out but it was pretty quick. Seems like a good small spot that caters toward truckers and port worker in the area trying to get food during their shift.
This was a place we passed up once, and came back to try out. Well, that’s all she wrote. Mike the owner and a local named William was a hoot at the start. We ordered the pepper steak and Mike recommended the cheese burger. Wow! The burger filled us both up and was delish! Pepper steak to go please…. Lol Oh! Forgot to mention, Mike brought out two cheeseburger soup bowls to try….. holy Sh!t that was good. The place and surroundings had me at hello! So we bought shirts and a cheesecake. OMG! Mouth watering yet? This place has the best of all. Comfort food 100% and atmosphere was very relaxed with chuckles of the locals ribbing on the owner. Great place! We will return every time we come through. Cheers to Seaport Diner 🍻
We really enjoyed our breakfast of eggs, home fries, and homemade corned beef hash. Service was great. Highly recommend! Wasn’t quick enough to snag a before picture because we were famished so you get halfway through. Thanks!
DELICIOUS FOOD!!! I ordered a panini with egg, cheese, onion and tomatoes since I donât eat meat and they were able to accommodate me! My boyfriend ordered the strawberry and banana crepe and he cleaned his plate. Would definitely come back and hi
