Seagrass Inn - Hotel in Old Orchard Beach - 50 W Grand Ave, USA

Our 9 day stay at Seagrass was very enjoyable. It's an excellent location to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the pier. Lisa and Pete the owners are so accommodating. Lisa was so helpful with recommendations of where to go and things to do if the weather wasn't a beach type day. A few minute drive to downtown Portland and so many restaurants, bars and shopping. Everyone was very pleasant and you felt welcomed from beginning to end. Our king ocean view room was very clean and mattress was firm. Housekeeping was all boys who did a great job and said hello every day. Nice outdoor sitting area with grills and setups for you to cook. The grocery store was a short drive and had anything that you would need. Clean pool and plenty of lounging chairs. The cost of staying at Seagrass was reasonable compared to other motels in area. We would definitely stay with Lisa and Pete if we went back. Now we know why other reviews called it the little Gem.

Owners were very friendly when calling about room. Didn’t even make us put a deposit down. Even had GREAT food ideas! Train is behind it which runs often but not bad at all. For the value the room is WELL worth it! Give the mom & pop place a shot!

Stayed here for 2 days in July. The rooms were small but clean and nice. They look like they had been refurbished recently. It did not look old and tired like alot of similar motels. The floor was tile so it got sandy quickly but there was a broom in the room to take care of that. The lady at the front desk was nice and helpful. The pool looked nice but we didn't use that. The motel is only one black from the beach so this was really nice. Also only one block from a small grocery store and close to lots of restaurants and shops. We had a great experience here.

I was very happy with our ‘Welcome’ by the Seagrass Inn owners right from the start. We had terrible weather and we were delayed in arrival. Peter and Lisa made our check seamless with no worries. The rooms were very cared for, clean and comfortable for a family of four. The proximity to the beach and the boardwalk was within walking distance. The pool and the patio area in the back was as a great alternative to the beach or to wind down from a day out. From their service and their local eatery recommendations, Peter and Lisa made it feel like we were staying with friends. I highly recommend this Inn for a hometown experience at Old Orchard Beach.

Location was great, the Owner's were very nice. We didn't realize until late at night when we went back to the room to go to bed that there were no blankets on the beds. Typically they would be sandwiched between two sheets but there was nothing, just two sheets on each bed. The room looked nothing like what was shown in the photos when booking, which looked cozy and inviting.

We just got back from a 4-night stay at the Seagrass Inn and I only have good things to say. The room was very clean, and the the owners, Lisa and Peter, are the most welcoming people you will ever meet. Even though the motel is not directly on the beach, it's literally a 1 minute walk away. The swimming pool is so nice, clean and heated. I enjoyed the common space area outside with the toasters, microwave and bbqs. Everything (restaurants, cafes, rides, etc.) is walking distance. If you are looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation in Old Orchard, this is the place!

Our stay was simply incredible. First, Lisa welcomed our family with so much kindness, taking time to speak to our kids. Anything we had to ask to the owners, we never felt like we were annoying and they were taking time to meet our needs as well as possible. They even got beyond our expectations in terms of generosity, giving free stuff for our children. The motel was very clean and every details are taken care of. Peter seems to be always lookin forward to improve his establishment, and we can see him work from 7 am to 10 pm everyday, takin care of his customers even when he’s on a short break, speaking to every of his customers. It’s also very close to the beach (2 min) and downtown (4 min) by foot. Thanks for everything, hoping to see you again on our next visit.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The room is just the right size and the pool out back is awesome. Lisa is amazing and I can’t say enough about how cool this place is. 10/10 will come again
