Seafood Island - Seafood restaurant in Shawnee - 10810 W 75th St, USA

My friend took me out to eat at Seafood Island tonight as a surprise. We were both super disappointed! I ordered an 8 piece Buffalo chicken wing for an appetizer and a fried shrimp basket with onion rings for my meal. My friend ordered some Cajun fries as an appetizer and King Crab Legs for her meal. A few issues.. My fried shrimp basket came out first. Nothing else came out. I wanted to wait until some of my friends' food came out before I started eating. About 10 minutes later, the rest of the food came out, including the appetizers.. So my main meal was always cold by the time all other food was served. No explanation. No apologies. As you can see from the photo, the fries are not seasoned at all and are very plain.. Had to ask for seasoning, and we just put it on ourselves. If you look at my friends King Crab Leg plate in the photos, she paid $65 [before tax] for that plate of food.. $65!! I had to ask for a refill on my drink several times, and each time, it took her over 5 minutes to come back with some water. Same thing when we asked for extra ranch and napkins. It wasn't even like they were busy. This place is a one and done for me. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. If you also look in the photos, you can see my water glass is empty. Lol.

Every time we come here, everything is delicious!! Most recent visit, my boyfriend had the special- crab legs, shrimp, sausage, egg, potatoes and corn. I had the mussels and scallops, with potatoes and corn. We shared everything and cleaned the plates! Always hits the spot!

Excellent value and food! Great service. Crab legs are delicious! I got the house seasoning and regular spicy, which was the perfect amount of spice. I think they snuck in an extra potato, which was more than welcome! Will definitely visit again

We have eaten here twice. Once in March 2022 and once today (August 20, 2022). Both times the food has been phenomenal. My husband and I both got combo B as Cajun flavor and medium heat. It was absolutely amazing. We did try the calamari appetizer it was alright. Not bad but not amazing. Sweet tea was great. We did have cheesecake and carrot cake for dessert. Cheesecake was good. The carrot cake tasted a little old. But for the most part we we very pleased with our meal and will be back!

First time in. Everything was excellent. Server was great, just needed to be a little more cheery.

My mother and I were looking fr a place to eat. My plan was to have chicken and waffles from the place next door, which a couple days later we then found out that they don't serve chicken there. Anyways we ended up going to Seafood Island which was just next door and man are we glad we came up to this building which serves the best calamari appetizer and which had a special going on for snow crab legs, shrimp and sausage. We got our food and then order more because we needed an extra side of rice which included fried shrimp. The manager there mentioned the special and we were enjoying everything so much from the live music to the atmosphere. I would love to g back again for the delicious snow crab legs and calamari. We went for the Cajun seasoning. It was an amazing experience.

I don't even know where to start...this place is so so so freaking delicious! I remember when it was Ryan's and then Fire Mountain as far as the building itself. Anyway..first time in and I must say I didn't have high expectations. I certainly had my impression of its less than busy parking lot changed quickly. I tried a pound of sausage spiced in Cajun seasoning. OMG good! I also tried the fried chicken wings with a Thai Chile sauce and an order of hushpuppies. All delicious, portions were great. I had so much left and I must say it was even better the next day. Hands down a hidden gem in Shawnee! Can't wait to go back. Now for the not so good part, at least for me. The ladies restroom was disgusting, I almost didn't use it. Otherwise it was a good time.

The reason for the 2 stars is the small portions served. My wife ordered a full pound of shrimp, and it looked like my half pound. The flavor was average. The ambiance was good, not too crowded.
