We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our family trip. The location was ideal, and our room featured a spacious balcony with stunning sunset views. The room itself was decent, and the bathroom was clean with a comfortable shower. Breakfast was a delight, and both check-in and check-out services were warm and efficient. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations and added a special touch to our trip. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay here. The property is quite well maintained and they were kind enough to accommodate us a little earlier then check in time. All rooms are sea facing I believe. The rooms were clean and tidied up everyday, unlike other places. They serve grab and go breakfast from 8-10 am. The ocean view from the room is amazing, especially on a sunny day. They have a balcony with chairs and table, where you could sit and absorb the beautiful ocean views. The location is also very close to Mendocino town, so you do not have to drive far to eat.

Gorgeous views, comfy beds, heater/AC in the room to easily get the exact temp you want, super quiet and drive up parking. Continental breakfast was solid - the coffee from Thanksgiving Coffee co. us really good. Jeff was very kind, informative, and helpful. He even drew us a map to a little indoor cafe & stores next to the Skunk Train which was handy on a rainy day. Pros: they allow pets! #awesome #nexttime Cons: No hot tubs, no firepits - both would be cool additions IMO. Quick tip - if you walk down to the road from the rooms and turn right, after the brown house driveway across the street, you'll see a guardrail. At the end of the guardrail you can go around it to the other side and down a short trail to a beach, that is open to the public and is a STUNNING view. Be *extremely careful* walking along / crossing Highway 1. The path can be slippery in the rain, but it is rocky soil - small steps and you'll be fine. Bring your camera/phone!

We had such a great stay here in December. Our room was super clean and had stunning views of the ocean. Complimentary breakfast is included with bagels, cereal, fruit, pastries and beverages which was a plus for us! The property is beautiful and well maintained. They even gave us some wine glasses and a bottle opener when we forgot so we could celebrate our anniversary, which was such a nice gesture! Definitely would stay here again if we are in the area!

We started our 3 night trip with electrical issues the minute we checked in! After 2 hours, it was found to be a breaker problem. The Maintenance Manager fixed it finally. We found the bathroom to have no hand soap. Door card kept disengaging while trying to get in at night and had to knock on office door for awhile to get innkeepers attention. More electrical issues kept happening the next day occurring within the building that we were sleeping in- not related to weather. When interacting with the Innkeeper, she was patient and attentive for most of the problems then became annoyed and suggested maybe we find another hotel on our last night there, in the middle of a storm...Rude! Especially since these incidents that happened to us were not out fault and not storm related. Eventually the Maintenance Manager fix the door card issue too. He was wonderful and happy to help!! When we asked the Office for some sort of compensation for all these major inconveniences and vacation disruptions, they claimed that the General Manager denied the request due to the already low winter season rates we were paying. We were disappointed and didn't feel the management to be sympathetic. On the bright side, it was a beautiful location with wonderful views.

Came here with my husband from Oct 30th-1st & it was very quiet which was nice. We stayed in room #5 which has a king size bed & on the top floor so it had breathtaking views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Floors are tile to look like wood floors so they were a bit chilly on the feet at night but nothing that socks/slippers cant fix. Breakfast was fine, just enough to get your morning going with fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, bagels & other pastries as well as fresh coffee & other drinks in the mini fridge. Mendocino is about a 7-10 minute drive & Fort Bragg is about a 20 minute drive. Very lovely hotel & staff, will definitely come here again (= Thank you for a wonderful stay and helping us create amazing memories.

Let me start by saying that this is a nice hotel. Most of the staff is helpful, and the location is terrific. Great ocean/sunset view from most rooms. Each room has a microwave & refrig, which is convenient. Front office stocked with cold drinks, fruit and sweet of the day. Front decks have outside seating (although the chairs aren’t comfy for lounging, which is a nice thing to do on vaca). On the other hand, the rooms are clean but not well maintained. In my room, there was a stain on the draperies that looked like blood or tomato sauce. Unpleasant. Easy enough to clean with spot remover w/o taking down the drapes. Chipped paint here & there. Mold on bathroom sink. One lamp didn’t work. One piece of furniture was badly cracked. Empty soap dispenser, so we bathed with shampoo. Shortage of TP; one per room, so make it last. In house phone system never worked. Noise may not bother you, but floors are all hardwood. You will hear your neighbors’ footsteps. The sliding door abates outside noise but the headboard wall adjoined my neighbors’ TV wall, so I could hear the TV ALL DAY, even though they did not turn up the volume. Difficult to relax. Only b/c of the noise, I could not stay here again. NOTE: My friend stayed in the standalone cottage. I misread the description, thinking it was a bedroom AND a sitting room. It’s one L-shaped room with bed & foldout sofa. Cramped for 2 people, so I took another room. It would work for parents & kids, but it’s quite small. Definitely not for more than 2 adults. Partial ocean view. But if you don’t spend a lot of time in the room, it might be OK for you. Again, it’s a nice hotel; just not a good match for me.

The room was very clean and it was quiet at night with no noise from neighbors. It had a deck, and the view outside was pleasant. The breakfast was quite simple: cold bakery items, apples,a bananas, grab-and-go milk and juices.
