Went for a sunday walk to the beach, mostly families with children enjoying a warm afternoon. Very relaxing and fun to watch Kids making sand castles, throwing rocks, digging wells... some adults with large fishing poles catching fish and releasing. Cardio exercisers climbing up and down the cliff (140+ stairs) from the beach, musician strategically placed himself on the top entertaining beachgoers as well as visitors enjoying the views at the top of the cliff. Cement ship remains reminds one of Titanic ... became a haven for birds. Lots of bird activity, Pelicans exhibiting precision dive in catching fish. Great for long beach walks that connects to Rio Delmar to Seascape and on towards south. Wish beaches are cleaner and drift wood is removed.
The gentle sound of the waves provides a soothing backdrop, making it an ideal place for relaxation. However, during peak seasons, it can get crowded, which may detract from the tranquility. Overall, it's a beautiful destination, but timing your visit to avoid the crowds can enhance the experience.
I like that it is quiet , not a lot of people, but still has a public bathroom. Beautiful and warm. 71 degrees when we went in September. Clean beach, brought deli lunch and ice chest. Stayed for 5 hours 🏖🌤🌊
Beautiful and scenic beach 🏖️. There is a park entrance fee to park your car inside the park and near by the cliff. You can park for free outside the park bybthe curb. Great spot for clicking pictures and shooting videos!!
Great place to walk along the beach, look out at the waves and have eat lunch. Great to sit on the bach high above or down at the water. They are still cleaning up and repairing facilities from the 2022-2023 storms, but they have the visitors center and bathrooms open.
The sunset is awesome. We saw a couple of people with bonfires. Although there was a sign saying it's not allowed for safety reasons. But it would be nice to have bonfire by the beach. There are vacation rentals available along the beachfront.
It's a beautiful beach and the view is uniquely enhanced by the purposely sunk concrete ship just offshore.
