Sea View Hotel - Hotel in Bal Harbour - 9909 Collins Ave, USA

I come to Miami to visit an elderly relative. Each time I look for something different. This place is by far the best I’ve been at. The proximity to shopping, beach, the hospital my aunt is at…. The place is like a historical building, gracefully decorated and relaxing ambiance. ||The room was gorgeous Cheerfully decorated Modern despite the age of the building. ||The food. - try the breakfast potato!!! The Fillet - one of the best. ||The service- nothing compares. Room service was perfect- clean beds and comfortable!!!||Parking- very reasonable and so easy in and out. ||I’m in love with this hotel.

The hotel is Very nice and quiet. Rooms spacious with very comfortable beds. |Very clean. Everything works well. |Nate at front desk is specially friendly and very helpful. |The beach and pool are also very well attended and beautiful surroundings.

We stayed for 10 nights; the hotel was excellent and very well located. The areas for improvement are as follows: there is construction next door, and there is a lot of noise all the time. We had booked a room with a balcony (we upgraded to this one, which is not the cheapest), and they gave us one facing the construction site next door. They could have informed us about this or given us an upgrade since the hotel was not full, and they assigned us that room. It was even uncomfortable to change clothes without closing the curtains. I would not go to this hotel again in the next 6/9 months until the construction is finished. There is also noise at the pool, so if you want to relax, now is not the time. Another issue to improve is that the beach and pool service closes at 5 pm (even though they charge a resort fee for this), while the hotels in the area close later. It is strange to close so early when there is still sunlight. Another issue is the gym, which is very good but closes at 7 pm, which makes no sense since there is never anyone to guide or help you, so why not close it later? In conclusion, we would return, but not for the next 9 months due to the construction next door. One more thing, at check-in, they told us that parking was $20 per day, but at checkout, they charged us $25.

They were fantastic. From the moment I checked in into the moment I checked out they treated me with so much care and respect. ||I give a special review to the assistant manager Stephen who was very kind and generous to my entire family and accommodated to us the entire stay. I also give a special review to selvester the bartender who made us laugh and made us feel like family. I love the Environment and how family oriented and fun it is. 100% 5 stars, I would come again over and over.

Très bel hôtel classé, bien situé, les pieds dans l'eau. Les chambres sont très grandes et propre, même celles de l'arrière sont très biens, Que ce soit à l'accueil, au restaurant ou à la piscine tout le personnel est très sympa et très serviable. Vous pouvez vous installer sur un transat à la piscine ou sur la plage, ou les deux au cours de la journée, tout est compris dans le prix de la chambre. Le breakfast est à la carte et est vraiment très bien, le dîner est très bon aussi sur la terrasse avec vue sur la mer. Très grand parking à régler en plus de la chambre d'où vous pouvez entrer et sortir à votre guise. A deux cent mètres de l'hôtel il y a le centre commercial très chic Bal Harbor avec de magnifiques boutiques et plusieurs restaurants, cet endroit vaut vraiment une visite. Entre l'hôtel et la mer il y a une très belle ballade sans voitures sur plusieurs kilomètres. Malgré certains commentaires ce n'est pas du tout un hôtel de vieux. Qualité prix c'est sûrement un des meilleurs hôtel de Miami. Vous serez à 20 minutes de South Beach, aucun problème pour vous y rendre en voiture, (très bon parking sur la 13e rue).

My wife and I just checked out after another sublime stay at the Sea View Hotel in Bal Harbour. In an every-changing and chaotic world, it’s heartening to know that some things are enduring – like the old-world charm of the Sea View. Our regular corner room, while updated and refreshed, still has its reliable and commanding views of all of Bal Harbour and the surrounding areas. It’s just as refreshing and nourishing to sit in our room or on our terrace as it is to lounge at the lovely pool or beach. The scale of the Hotel is manageable and the staff friendly and warm. It’s like visiting your favorite, older relative. Nothing is commercial, over-hyped or over-wrought – as is the case with many national hotel chains these days. The Sea View Hotel is truly a haven – don’t change a thing!

Fans of 'The Shining' would love this hotel. .. imagine if the Overlook was placed right on the Miami coastline, (minus the ghosts!). This is a classic hotel, built back in 1947 when the hotel experience was something very different. There has been a renovation that happily retained the soul of the hotel... there is wood paneling in the elevator, and a grand sitting room to play cards in during the day, and an emerald room for after-dinner drinks. It was a fascinating experience just to walk through the place. I recommend getting a pool-side cabana, since they come with a changing room, shower, and full bathroom. Happily I can also recommend this place for families, my kids had a blast playing in the pool and then running out to the beach, which was a mere 1-minute walk away. The only thing that happened was that my key card stopped working a few hours after I received it... perhaps some friendly ghosts disapproved of the new technology?

Old school hotel with retro vibes but beautifully renovated in synch with the building. The room OK, I could live without the carpet that did not look clean. The location is excellent for someone who wants peace and quiet of Bal Harbour and Surfside and does not mind commuting to South Beach and Downtown Miami. Ideal for families.
