Sea Scape Inn a Fine Family Boutique, Heated Pool - Featured Reviews (154)
All I can say is you get what you pay for. Some pros are it was one of the cheapest options that we looked at, friendly staff, not too far from boardwalk and clean rooms Cons… the pool was not heated. It’s not like it was room temperature. It was freezing. Honestly one of the main reasons we picked this hotel was for the pool and I did mention it to the front desk and they said they would “turn it on” but after 2 days it felt the same. Very sad about that. Now as far as the rooms being clean they were very outdated. The tv for example looked like something out of 2012 and too small for the room where you can barely see it from the couch. Lastly we did have a room with the top floor (3 floors) but it was a massive walk up to say the least. After a couple trips to bring your stuff up and down you definitely won’t have to workout the rest of the day so maybe it’s a pro depending how you look at it. End of the day I don’t hate it. You get what you pay for but please fix the pool if you’re going to advertise it so much.
Our stay at the Seascape Inn in Wildwood Crest, NJ was overshadowed by an unpleasant encounters with the owner, Chris. From the start, he was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. On one occasion, Chris banged on our door, demanding a cash security deposit, despite the fact that I had already paid for the room in full and left a personal check for the deposit. He aggressively insisted that I had cash in the room and needed to give it to him immediately. His behavior escalated to the point of threatening to call the police on me if I did not give him the 100 CASH deposit. This uncalled-for hostility created an uncomfortable and stressful environment, particularly when he yelled at my son and wrongfully assumed he wasn't staying with us. Also, I found it uncomprehensible that upon early checkin I could not use a bathroom at the motel, but was told to use the PUBLIC bathrooms across the street by the basketball courts. In contrast, Cathy at the front desk was the complete opposite. She was patient, professional, and incredibly helpful. Throughout our 3 night stay, she remained professional and even apologetic about the issues caused by Chris. While the location of the Seascape Inn is great, the experience with Chris left a negative impression that overshadowed the stay. I sincerely hope that the hotel addresses these concerns and that Chris reevaluates his approach, as I genuinely wish the Seascape Inn success in the future. Cathy’s professionalism is a valuable asset to the business, and with improvements, this hotel could be a much better experience for future guests.
Upon checking in, I had an unfortunate experience at the front desk. The nice lady that was helping me with my check in, was telling me about the cash deposit I need to provide them, but when I realized I didn’t have the “cash deposit with me” and when I mentioned that I didn’t have the cash for the required deposit, I was confronted with a shockingly rude attitude from another guy attendant (Chris). He was not even doing the check in for me, but still intervened and interrupted the checking process I was clearing with the lady I was working with. His behavior was unprofessional and unfriendly, far from the standard of customer service I expect.
Amazing place with great pricing!! Room was clean and our stay was very smooth. Chris was very nice. My girlfriend and I were here for 2 nights on a weekend and will definitely stay here again! Very satisfied.
We did not even get a chance to go there. Chris is extremely unprofessional. We asked a question about the billing cause it was through Expedia and didn't match up. Was suposed to be a 50% deposit not the full charge. We were replied with a Seriously? That's our minimum . Replied with yes we can read that .( the room price wasn't the question) Chris then cancels our room with out any further conversation. Says we have younge attitude. So what I'm gathering from my encounter and other reveiws Is they are prejudice and judgmental of the younger generation. Chris will talk in circles , you are not able to get a straight answer. He's very rude even through text As we were waiting for a response we read the other lower star reviews and yeah dodged a bullet. I wouldn't stay here for free.
Staff was very friendly, room was clean and well maintained, great place to stay with kids or friends, one block away from the beach, lots of places within walking distance without being right in the middle of everything.
The motel has allowed small problems to grow. The room is adequate but|leaves a lot to be desired. The refrigerator works. But the coldness controls |is a button. Either it's too cold(create frost conditions) or warm not refrigerating adequately. Couldn't work the microwave need handiman to|tell us the electrician had connected microwave to the room's light switch?|The bathroom tub drain barely allows for drainage. Took quick shower and|and it took 15 minutes or so for the water to drain.|A minor item is the TV only receives what I can describe as children shows,|religious shows or local news programs. |On the plus side everyone is nice. All try to be helpful. |Location is near the beach. View to ocean is good.||
This place is like out of a creepy movie. Owner is very scary, always lurking around corners and watching everyone, very uncomfortable. He was very pushy and aggressive, We booked a last minute weekend trip, the place is very dated, AC unit in bedroom only, none in the rest of efficiency so we had to keep the bedroom door opened and the ac on blast which didn’t do much, the shower had terrible water pressure, and no vent when taking a shower, and room smelled very musty. The blinds were broken in bedroom when we arrived , so we reported that to front desk which we had to look up the number and call because there wasn’t a phone in room. A woman came up and was cutting long blinds in half and hanging them in bedroom which didn’t fit. It was quiet but I also felt like we weren’t allowed to speak outside or even relax. The motel sends lengthy text messages to remind of the “rules”. My sister and niece met us on the beach because they stay in Cape May, they came back with us to use the bathroom and rinse off, my niece went in the pool with my daughter before getting changed to leave with my sister, within minutes an employee came out and the owner to ask names and reminded us of our reservation, we are adults with a baby, very quiet, we were extremely offended and scared by the owner. The owner also watched my sister move her car from the free parking lot to the meter in front of the sea scape and told her she can move to free parking , she explained she just put 30 minutes of time in the meter as they were leaving after changing from the beach. We will never go back to that place. We go to the Jersey shore each summer and never have had an experience such as this in 30 years. If I could give this a 0/5 I would.

Great hotel. Amazing staff and amazing rooms. The cost is what you would expect for the area. The TV in our room could use a major upgrade (it was very small) but not sure how many people watch TV while vacationing.
Stayed last week for the first time at the crusader hotel. Already booked for next year. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and very very helpful. The ladies at the front desk at check in were great! My wife asked for help with luggage do to we are bot
This is seriously amazing food! The most flavorful dining experience we had in Wildwood the week of our vacation there. From the chips and queso dip for starters, to the main course of the pork tacos and steak burrito, to the dessert of a fried and

Really tasty vegan (non-dairy) ice cream! They only have one flavor (vanilla) but it had a great creamy texture. They have several toppings that are vegan although only sprinkles can go on top of a cone (as opposed to a cup). The attached picture is
This is a beautiful well- designed venue. The sound system was excellent . The jazz trio was very good but the crowd was sparse. Traditional jazz is not popular with vacationers in Wildwood Crest.
Family owned, professional staff and they treat every guest like family. They are very accommodating and dedicated to making you and your family/friends feel welcomed. Great parking and just overall satisfied every visit. I will recommend them to eve
