Sea Garden Inn - Motel in Pismo Beach - 340 Stimson Ave, USA

This review will, be as objective as one possibly can be, having stayed in this motel for two nights and three days. |First, the positive aspects. The motel is walking distance to the beach. It is right down the street from a great Italian restaurant and a little "food" store. |I absolutely do not understand anyone giving this motel anything more than two stars at any given time.|Now, the negatives. |The sheets are not changed daily. If you ask for them to be changed, the manager rudely asks "did you dirty them?" . Obviousy there is little or no room service or housekeeping. The motel is a dog friendly motel. So, when I asked if there was room service, I was told "Sir I told you when you checked in, to let me know if you need something cleaned, we only have a few people that help with cleaning because they are afraid of going in the rooms due the possibility of dogs". |In addition, the shower has some cheap, toy like dispensers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner. |The couple in the tiny front office sleep/live in a little room behind the front office. |The motel itself is old, smelly and construction is taking place.|Also, the drawers underneath the wall mounted TV are sealed shut with screws so you can't use them.|I know that most of the time a motel/hotel room is just for sleeping or adult stuff, but c'mon. This was a horrible place to stay at. Just a terrible time. |In addition, when we arrived and got in the room i took a shower then a little later, my wife took a shower. We then left for the beach until the evening, we then asked for towels. We found out the next day, that you are only alotted enough towels for ONE day. Yup, you read that right. You are only allowed to take a shower once in this motel, i mean, that is if you want to use a towel to dry off. |So, if you are going to stay here, bring your own towels and be warned that there is NO SPACE in the showers to place any of your personal shampoo, conditioner, bodywash or soap. |Just go somewhere else, even if you have to spend more. Go to a different motel or hotel.

I took a shower, then my fiance took a shower a while later. we had a long drive getting there and were tired. we went to bed that night. We got up and both of us took a shower after having some coffee and a cinnamon roll from the awesome place in Pismo (you KNOW the place). I needed more towels and they said ok, asking questions such as "you used all the towels in the room?" I said yes.||We then went to the beach and met with family. It was a great time.||After arriving back at the Motel, we were exhausted. I needed a good nice shower, just as my fiance did. I went to the office and asked and was then berated and condescended to quite passive-aggressivley. The manager, who has bad command of the english language got all crazy and said "I told you, we only have certain times for house keeping!" you already used your towels for today!"||I then told him I would go and BUY some! he said, i will go get you more, but only two towels!||I looked at my H0Tel$ . com site/account today and this is their passive aggressive response:||"Dear Guest" Than you for hsaring your feed back, we are sorry that our budget friendly motel was not able to meet your expectations. We are sorry that you got frustrated that we were not able to give you room service three to four times a day, getting fresh towels each time. " etc and so on. It gets worse. You can go check it our for yourselves. However, if they write THIS in response-then they do NOT give a $hlt about you as a customer. Whoever owns this place, is trying to spruce it up with cheap pain and a few cheap flat screen with the cheapest furniture and bedding as possible. Make sure you check for bugs in your bed! Bring your own towels and beware hidden charges on your bank account if you use a debit card! just my opinion.||In Summary, do NOT Stay here! save yourselves and stay elsewhere! there are so many other wonderful places to stay at Pismo beach. We only chose this place because it was a last minute trip during a very busy summer. We paid 551.00 for a friday and Saturday night and checked out on a Sunday.

The owners are horrible people who do not have an ounce of customer service and business sense. The room they gave us smelled of fresh paint and no AC. He said he would reimburse us but after i had made a reservation for another hotel, he decided not to reimburse us because there suddenly was an available room, but with same conditions-paint smell. I told him i am an asthmatic and i cannot stay in a room that wreaked paint and that i had already paid for another hotel. He got furious, threatened to sew us-even though i had pre-paid for my room. He gave us so much anxiety. These folks are crooks who took my money and gave me one of the worst experiences of my life.

Ok, this place was not my first choice! Due to a mix up at another place (next door), had to get another room asap! Ended up here! Was disappointed with the way it looked from the outside but when got my room, thought was not bad at all! I will definitely stay there again as the rooms were cheaper and clean! The front desk said they were remodeling. I’ll go back! Didn’t take pictures but will next time!

$250 for one night?! No wall ac. They give you a plug in heater and a fan…Thin walls that you can hear everyone talking through… They remodeled the bathroom so the shower has a nice marble inside but the water pressure sucks and they provide you with 2 in 1 hair shampoo and conditioner and body gel……the toilet moves A LOT when you sit on it …there were HANDPRINTS on the headboard when we entered our room. Wear shoes inside any of these rooms because the floors are super dirty and gross. Giant gap under the door lets the cold draft in. The towels felt cold and wet?? We were given one roll of cheap toilet paper for the night and had to ask them for one the next day when they opened. No bars of soap. No drinking water available. No outlets near the bed or tiny nightstands to place things by you. Wi-Fi didn’t work. The only thing we got lucky with was we always pack our own towels pillows and blankets to keep ourselves somewhat covered from the hotel rooms nastiness and it’s twoish blocks away from Harry’s :/

Newly renovated rooms! Great location few steps to beach. Friendly staff! Loved how the room smelled clean.

I like the place cause it’s very close to Pismo Beach Pier unfortunately the room has no AC you get a small electric fan.

Positive: Location Negative: Hotel is very run down, dirty, and it smelled. Holes in walls paint peeling off bathroom smelled awful! And the shower was full of mold! We had to buy cleaning products and clean these areas just to use it! Big YUCK! Do NOT stay here
