Such a great visit to sea cottages. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was perfect. Peaceful and quiet, but also a great location to walk to restaurants and bars and the beach! Will definitely be back as soon as we can!
Absolutely love this place. Beautifully set up and everything was at our disposal. Beach is literally right there, you can here the ocean while sitting on your private porch. I plan on staying here everytime I go back to the island, don't want to stay anywhere else. Restaurants are super close and Sliders is absolutely delicious.
Great location-close to gas stations, restaurants and shopping plazas. |Small parking area located on site along with laundry and shop.|Pathway leading to cottage provided ample lighting and exterior lights at night were bright enough to feel safe.|Room had a cozy feel and had amenities such as: mini kitchenette with microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator. Available to use if you wanted to store food, reheat food or make 6 cups of coffee. Also, cups and plates were available. |However, we couldn't use the coffee maker because dried grounds were on the heating element. No big deal, just went out instead. |There was also a mini heater, hair dryer, and TV. Lots of lighting throughout and some additional storage by the sofa, bed and in the bathroom. |Shower in bathroom was workable but doesn't offer alot of space. |Bedding was nice and appeared clean but I did find stains on the white blanket on bedding and dog hairs were found in the heavier blanket for bedding. Staff had a good attitude when I called (after regular check in hours) to report the stain and dog hairs found in blanket. |Was told and reassured linens were clean and dry cleaned daily. |She also offered to bring new blankets in the morning. Upon returning from our outing the next day, fresh blankets were on our bed.|Great response and prompt service. |Would certainly return again.
Overall not a bad place good location easy check in zero customer service! Could not use toilet water was about to overflow called after hours line girl on the phone had to ask where we were located which was confusing and then said someone would call right back and rudely hung up. No one ever called no one ever came Ridiculous how can anyone stay in a room without a functioning toilet !
We just spent 6 nights at the Dog friendly Sea Cottages this week. It was a wonderful and precious place. Our doggie was so welcomed! The cottage had everything we needed. It was two blocks from the beach and enjoyed our walks everyday. The decor was fantastic...beautiful art and glass pieces. Grounds were so pretty! Bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend this vacation spot to everyone, especially with a doggie!
Lovely spot, nestled among the trees, pretty quiet and very quaint. Room needs a few additional items and sheets that fit the bed. Off season rates are fabulous. Would return.
Loved the room and the area. However, the smell is awful. My clothes, luggage, and even hair brush absorbed the smell. My husband and I left confused. We enjoyed our trip, would love to visit back, yet the smell was atrocious.
I made a reservation through a 3rd party app. I got an email explaining the process to download an app for an electronic key, which I did successfully. However there was an additional link provided that wasn't hyperlinked. I tried to login to the app using my phone number, but there was no record of my reservation. I called the on-call office number at 7pm and have yet to receive a call back. (It's 9:30pm.) I called the 3rd party booking site once I had done all I could do to solve the issue. They were also unable to get ahold of anyone on-call, despite leaving an urgent voice-mail and sending an email. Thankfully the 3rd party booking site refunded my money, but I'm more put out by the hassle. I came here tonight in preparation for a big event tomorrow and was looking forward to a stress free evening. I was able to book a room last minute at a hotel chain just next door and the service here has been impeccable. Based on service and general customer care, I would never recommend Sea Cottages of Amelia. The location does seem convenient, and because I never saw the rooms, I felt 3 stars would be neutral and fair.
