Scratch Kitchen & Cocktails - New American restaurant in Norman - 132 W Main St, USA

This is our third time here and always great. The cocktails are delicious and lots to choose from. We ordered the steak and blackened catfish. The house pickles are yummy with a bit of a bite to them. Food is always delicious. We especially like being able to take our kids on the patio and sit at the tiki hut.

Great food! I had the cajun pasta, and my wife had the pancetta wrapped chicken breast. We started off with the spinach dip. The spinach dip tasted so fresh and homemade. The picture we posted doesn't do it justice, because I had to taste it, then my wife said "pictures!" Oops. My cajun pasta was great. Perfect flavor. It had a good amount of crawfish and shrimp. My wife's chicken and the parmesan risotto were out of this world, too. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly, and gave great suggestions. The atmosphere was great for a date night. Slightly dimmed, but not too dark. Seating areas were beautiful, with beautiful fabrics on the seat backs of the booth part of the table. Place settings were perfect. The artwork in our spot had some nice abstract art. I highly recommend this spot, and we will be back.

I don’t know if I’ll go back. We really wanted to try the pickles but they were out. That would be a reason to return at least once. We went for dinner service. We sat at a high top near the bar . It was a decent enough atmosphere but nothing exciting. Our server was very nice. I was not impressed with the items I ordered. It’s almost like the kitchen doesn’t taste what they’re sending out. Maybe my expectations were too high for a place named Scratch? The ranch was good! That’s where the positive experience halted with the food. The bean and corn salsa seemed like cans dumped into spongy diced tomatoes with zero seasoning. The fried tomatoes themselves were also not seasoned? My entree, the creole seafood pasta was odd. The pasta was fresh but overcooked and just seconds from being mush. Both the shrimp and crawfish were tasteless. The sauce had a hint of spice but that’s it. Again there seemed to be no additional seasoning but garlic that I think may have come from the bread? It was a completely joyless meal. There was no love coming from the kitchen.

We are addicted to the chicken & biscuit w/ Chipotle gravy! It's sooo good we both order it. Love the spinach dip as well! Cocktails are a bit pricey, but strong. Atmosphere is a touch above casual & the inside is gorgeous! Believe they have live music on certain days. Service was great. 4 stars due to price, but reasonable considering it's all made from Scratch 😉

Love everything about this restaurant/bar except for wait time between order and drinks/food to table. Chicken Pasta was wonderful and kitchen staff split order nicely so I could share. Drinks were fabulous, the best was the Aviation. Others in my party enjoyed Oaxacan and regular Ols Fashions. I have never seen such clear ice in an Old Fashion. Definitely a place to try.

Atmosphere is super cute great for a date night food was delicious The service is a little slow but again they are very young college kids. Otherwise spot on politeness well maintained cleanliness of the bathroom definitely will be going back! We got the burger sliders and the fried chicken sandwich and let me tell you: delicious

Came here for date night and it was super worth it! Great service even when they were busy. We got everything pretty quick! Appetizers, drinks, main courses, and dessert (to go). The lobster Mac was kinda bland but my husband liked it. The meatloaf was killer! The spicy ketchup for the fries-yummy! We ordered the tres leches cake to go and it was amazing! Will definitely be back!

Chose Scratch based on it brunch menu and we were not disappointed! This place is really cool!!!! Wonderful dining vibes for groups. Has another bar in the basement, but it's not open on Sundays. Covered Patio outside to enjoy a nice breeze. Our server was great and accommodating. We arrived around 930am just ahead of the crowd. By 1030am, the place was super busy. Our food was delicious...one order of the chicken fried steak w/eggs & potatoes and a Chicken (hot honey) and Waffles w/eggs. Had to have been the the best two cuts of meat from a restaurant in a while, they were tender and very flavorful. Couldn't go wrong with either dish.
