Scotty's Lakeside Resort - Hotel in Lake George - 2896 Lake Shore Dr, USA

Myself , husband , my mom and two kids(ages 7 & 5) just stayed here for Labor Day weekend. We had a blast! We’ve stayed at other hotels on lake George and this has by far been our favorite. The pool was heated and perfect even on a 79 degree day. The layout is ideal for kids. Everything is right next to eachother . Lake, pool , playground and fun activities(volleyball , cornhole,ping pong and more) they had all the lake activities for a decent price rental fee. Kayaks, paddle boards , etc. |we even had a basketball court right near our room that we used every night! |The fire pits at night time were great for roasting marshmallows with the kids. |The restaurant on site was perfect for both breakfast and lunch. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was on the small side but that did not bother us as we hardly were in the room. Our deck was huge and great for hanging out with the family playing board games! It was very close to town and all things lake George has to offer. ||Overall is was the perfect long weekend and we can not wait to book again for next year!

We loved our stay at Scotty's! The location was fantastic and the amenities were great! Amazing location on the lake, with lots of comfortable seating available. We especially loved the outdoor sofas with umbrellas. My kids loved the pool and splash pad! Rooms were basic but clean.

The hotel was truly such a family friendly resort. The pool area was gorgeous. I loved the private beach area. It was so nice to sit and relax while the kiddos swam and played in the sand. The hotel grounds were very well kept. The Cafe had very good food and was cooked well and quickly. The rooms were nice. A little small, but you aren't in the room much. I would have like to have housekeeping come every day but they did not. The staff in the office was very friendly and helpful.

Amenities were perfect for us loved the pool, beach and games. Bed wasn’t very comfortable but room and bathroom were nice and clean and had good space. I appreciated having a microwave and coffeemaker right in the room as well as the outdoor seating space was a nice surprise. Only negative was I wish they would be more clear about the cafe hours it was hard to know when they would open and close so unreliable for food.

The resort location is perfect. Walking distance to both the lake and the town. The resort staff all are very pleasant and accommodating. The resort cleanliness overall is excellent with one exception. My wife and I were very happy with the cleanliness of our two bedroom suite, the bedding in particular. The one exception that I mentioned is aimed at the men's and women's restrooms in between the cafe' and the bar. The foul odor of neglect is present in both restrooms. | There is one more issue to note before I end this review. The lack of a kitchenette in the units. The refrigerator is adequate, the microwave is small, and the coffer maker is unacceptable. I was forced to drive to Starbucks in Queensbury every morning. Those two reasons prevented a 5 out of 5 star rating.

Overall nice place,for the price though they should not charge for the use of paddle boats, kayaks and paddle boards. Other places in the area dont! Otherwise nice place to stay! Close to the village, clean friendly service! Bar and food service were good but a little pricey!

Awesome family resort! Will definitely be going back. Rooms are a bit tight but who cares, you are outside most the time anyways. Walking distance to town. Just what we hoped for. You really don’t even need to leave the resort, they have everything you need.

Great place for a stay where almost everything is in the hotel except dinner and adventures. Needs to change the variety of the area to make it great. Good lake access and boat access. Not far walk to town but a large hill and walk for older folks.
