Scottsman Motel - Motel in Tucson - 3526 E Benson Hwy, USA

This place has irritated me from the start. No one ever stays here except the people who "run" it, and it's way overpriced; because the owner knows he can overcharge when weary travelers are exhausted and just need to crash... So i reluctantly give 2.5ish stars and ONLY due to the full-size refrigerator, which honestly isn't the great anyway. Staff is virtually non-existent aside from taking your money at check in, or getting back their remote and key at check out. Oh,and don't be late checking out. You'll be banned from staying there forever if you stay passed 10am, even if circumstances are beyond your control because you totaled your truck days prior and were relying on Lyft- never again😒 But don't worry, it's not actually a loss if this happens to you. Not only are you in BFE paying double what you will at an extended stay or motel 6 in town. You get the added pleasure of living like you're in the 1950's! The rooms are completely outdated and in serious need of new furnishings. and never having caused any issues at all up until the Lyft driverS (plural) never showed (btw, thank you to uber; without you, I'd have burned to death in that parking lot)

I personally never stayed here. But, my daughter did. But on the few occasions I did go by to see her. It was always quiet the inside of the room looked clean enough. A little out dated but compared to other motels on Benson Hwy it could very well be a resort! No roaches! I don't know their rate. But, I do know you can rent daily, weekly, or monthly. Plus, they own the laundromat that sits directly next to the motel ( also very clean n kept cool in the hotter months) I think the owners should invest in a pool for the motel that would definitely bring in more customers. And they could also charge people that aren't staying at the motel a entrance fee just for using the pool. In time it would pay for itself.

Not sure about the service. I didn't book the room or deal at all with the front desk, the was the boyfriend's department. However, the room surprised me, it was better than I was expecting from a south side Benson Highway motel. It was pretty clean and spacious, set up more like a one bedroom rather than a studio. It had an actual kitchen in it's own room off to the side. No disturbances at all, it was quiet during our whole stay.

Although the price is a little steep, the people are really nice the rooms are clean the parking lot is clean and there's no noise or strange or questionable Behavior or actions are going on at this hotel. It is really quiet and they maintain that for the customers benefit. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who could afford it it is worth staying at in a very respectable establishment.

They have to be smoking that Benson Highway crack of they think ANYBODY will pay 500 a week. If you're from out of town you should know this isn't a great location, it is our ghetto here in Tucson. But i guess even the ghetto is price gouging just cause the Gem and Mineral Show is in town. You can literally stay at a 4 Star Hotel by the Airport for the same price. It's just ridiculous, don't fall for it Travelers.

The good part was they let us check in early in the morning. But, in my opinion, the place was too expensive. And when I got up in the middle of the night there was a Huge (Madagascar) cockroach scurrying around the floor. I never went back to sleep after seeing that.

Expensive for a room. Holes in the front door, bathroom is cramped and the door wont close. Room is rarely cleaned and when it is its not a deep clean just a few areas. Never vacuumed. No discounts for extended stays. Water heater takes minutes to heat up. Smoking inside the room a plus or minus based on personal needs. Heater and in wall a/c included.

They charged a deposit for key and remote....then only get half back....would not recommend, just because of the deposit ...👎👎👎
