I was really amazed at how wonderful this place is. Far better than I could of imagined. This is the best National Monument I have been too and is really under appreciated. The 1.5 mile drive up to the top has great views and you drive through three carved out tunnels. There is also the option to hike to the top through trail tunnels as well. The trails at he top are accessible and have literally 360 degrees vista views. It has a fairly nice visitor center as well.

A great place with amazing views at the top! Wasn't sure if it would be open on a Sunday, but after checking it was! Came here and not only was the weather beautiful, but it wasn't busy at all, which was a bonus. Definitely head inside first, to get a guide and have a walk around the museum, as it's a fascinating insight into the history of Scott's Bluff and its historical significance. I loved the artefacts they had in the museum, a window into a time long gone by. I definitely enjoyed driving up to the top, to get panoramic views of the landscape below... Wow! There are hiking trails to the top, but it's best to get there early if you want to do that, as I imagine they may take some time. Driving is definitely the quicker way of reaching the top, and so very worth it. The rugged landscape of the South Overlook Trail was beautiful to admire, with a few benches there to kick back and take it all in for a while. So if you're in Nebraska, definitely check out Scott's Bluff National Monument.

If you’re in the area definitely stop to see the monument. I’m from Colorado and it reminded me of going up a mountain in a way. Such a pretty drive to the top with beautiful scenic views. When you get to the top you have a full view. Lots of little paths you can walk as well. Definitely glad we stopped to see it!

A must if you’re in the area. Interesting & scenic. Nice little walking paths on summit that allow leashed pets. Lots of wildflowers. I enjoyed the view from the VC parking lot almost as much as the summit.

This is a great little park to visit. The walks are really nice and there are both easy and longer walks to choose from. The drive up to the top is interesting to do and has a lot of good views, but few places to stop. The two walks at the top compensate, offering a full 360 deg view of the surrounding area. The visitor center is decent with some interesting stuff on the history of the area and the Oregon Trail. Its a really unique place and makes for some excellent pictures. I would certainly recommend doing this one.

A fun family adventure. We were traveling by RV from Western NY to Utah and decided to hit some of the Oregon Trail as an educational opportunity. This Monument is beautiful! There is definitely educational opportunity, and the hiking was fantastic. We are so very happy that we included this stop.

Made the stop at this monument while driving from Denver to the Black Hills; its perfectly situated halfway. The short southern trail at the summit were really beautiful and had great views of the area. If in the region, definitely make a stop.

There is so much to see and explore at this park. Within the park, you can learn the history surrounding this area from the early settlers, the Oregon trail, and enjoy the rock formations as they have been seen by all. Take the short drive to the top and be sure to take the short hikes and enjoy the view.

Great food, great staff & great vibes! Reminds you of the small cafe you grew up going to as a kid where everyone knew your name. Matcha and food were amazing and you can drive-thru!

RV park had all we could ask for. Grass for the dog, shade, breeze, big space between sites and a view of Scott’s Bluff. We are here for only one night but it’s actually the most comfortable site we’ve experienced. Well done Gering!
