I have stayed at Scottish Inn several times and the experience is always wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and had what I needed. The parking lot is safe with plenty of available spots. It's a very nice little place and the staff always seem to be available. It's close enough to I-5 but no road noise. So close to downtown .
For a motel, this was perfectly fine! The rooms were big and clean. Air conditioning worked great. The person at the front desk was nice and kind when I arrived past 11pm on check in day. My room ended up being right across from a bar, but it did not cause any disturbances. And the bar is a cafe during the day that has really great food.
I drive between Portland and San Francisco a couple times a year and I always stay at the Scottish Inns. It's always super clean (newly renovated), and conveniently next to i5. The owner checks me in normally and he's super friendly! I'm not normally a motel person but I do really like this place!
Great comfy little hotel. It's nicely located right off I-5 with lots of stores around and easy gas access. Employees were wonderful with our late night arrival and got us a room quickly. The room was super clean (and I mean this as a previous hotel maid of 3 years) and comfy with a great ac. Plus it had a nice size mini fridge and microwave. All in all a great little stop. The only issue was one out of their control. There's a dinner or bar that share parking lot and there were people out there being loud late into the night so he prepared for that.
We are racing team that wanted to get food and a room. Because of the owner NOT having a place to park a truck and trailer threatening to tow if we took up more than one parking spot and then said if at anytime we walk over to the restaurant even after getting a room he would have us towed. So he lost out on 4 rooms being rented for a night.
I stayed here three times and received consistent rooms and service. Close to the freeway. Grocery store and food. Good air conditioning during the hot stay and at night since I love that feeling. Small refrigerator in room. The owner lost his last hotel to a fire. But rebuild his business with a new purchase. So he is running it with experience.
For starters, the owner is incredibly sexist. We walked in and I said hello, he immediately turned to my partner and said "Hello sir, how are you?". Did not look at me once during the entire interaction. I made the booking, I was paying for it, and yet he continued to only speak and look in my partner's direction. Our friends who came in right after us had the same experience. We all thought it was insanely weird. The rooms are basic rooms, nothing fancy but what do you expect for $100 a night? Well, we expect the lamps to work. Both lamps did not work. We thought maybe they were unplugged or the bulbs weren't tight. Nope, just didn't work. We told the owner on our way out and he just dismissed us as he loaded up the back of his Tesla. Ladies, if you are going to attempt to do your makeup here, maybe do it in the car. The lighting in the bathroom and the light above the mirror will do you dirty. The light above the mirror isn't centered so only half of your face will be lit up. My friend and I both gave up and went with a simple eye look. The bed was also the hardest bed I've ever slept on. It was not comfortable at all. There are other low-priced hotels on the same street. I do not recommend this one. Especially if you are a female traveling alone.
Don't stay here. .. when you add taxes to my deposit I know your going to try to take my money... They are horrible people.. Deposits are not taxes in this state.. What this hotel is going is criminal. I wish I knew how to speak your language. This place is the worst hotel in town. I would rather sleep on the sidewalk then in your rooms. They Will rent you a room and kick you out in the middle of the night and keep your stuff for ransom Will try to get to pay cash deposit for a room that has been paid for online.. Will charge you for new towels if you get them dirty. Will not chase away anyone. Will tell you that they have a 300 weekly rate and then change you 390 Plus service tax.. and 200 depends. And will not return it.. complaints not heard.. This is a huge ripoff 590 plus tax for a week so that's $130.98 @22.2 percent hotel tax 720.98 please. $102.99 a night for a 70 dollar room. Booking agent said 72 . Walk in they say 118.00 Don't stay here. Run
We had a great time! The theme and puzzles were entertaining and just the right amount of challenging. Thanks Eden for being the perfect âbar tenderâ host!
